CIA Literature

When did you realise Thomas Pynchon doesn't exist? Navy, Boeing, prestigious schools and secret societies, All kinds of Awards, government grants, Old American Money Family, only two or three black and white Photographs-- a true Red, White and Blue spook's spook.

he does exist I got a recent picture of him right here

Pynchon's writing bears no resemblance to the style pushed by the CIA through MFA schools and magazines though. In fact, it's quite the opposite and a lot of the people who write in the style associated with CIA culture programs detest Pynchon.

Also he's married to a Roosevelt. There's no way that inventing a postmodern novelist was so important that somebody badgered a Roosevelt into pretending to be married to an imaginary person for the rest of her life.

Should I get this, Mr Ruffles P.?

>There's no way that inventing a postmodern novelist was so important that somebody badgered a Roosevelt into pretending to be married to an imaginary person for the rest of her life.
You don't understand, these people are not human beings with human wants and needs. They are a technocratic, plutocratic hive who love only capital and power and are quite willing to give up their earthly wants in exchange for that. Jeb was married off to a Mexican by his father simply to better silence American concerns over in its transformation into Brazil. Bush 5, Jeb's son, is a half-caste in the mold of a Republican Obama who will throw open markets, borders, and the American genome.

Marrying a CIA art school project is a very small and easy price to pay for social supremacy

there's a guy at the local gym who looks like tommy, always using the treadmill. and to top it off i live in new york

chuck a pie at him, test his jokesters instinct and you'll know

The Bush family disapproved of Jeb marrying a Mexican

I have no doubt Pinecone has connections to people with classified information esp. after his light bulb "conspiracy" turned out to be true.

Also: MFA programs remind me of BFA programs for film. They mass-produce people who are trained/brainwashed into writing (or filming) a "certain sort-of" way. Many of the great writers never went to writing school, they just wrote

[P.]

>Marrying a CIA art school project is a very small and easy price to pay for social supremacy

It's a small price only potentially and relative to what you get in return. So far nobody has explained what agenda there would be behind the pretending that someone named Thomas Pynchon exists. Even more baffling is what purpose this purported fake Pynchon would still serve by the 1990s, when he married Ms. Jackson, decades after the release of his most lauded works. Keep in mind that Pynchon's work rips on the CIA and FBI but doesn't reveal anything that was previously a secret. His celebrity has shrunk steadily since the release of Gravity's Rainbow and yet he has a wife, child, and expensive apartment in a city with excellent public records. Why continually make his cover more difficult to keep up for decades when "recluse smoking dank in Mexico," was working just fine?

I don't even know where to begin with the rest of your post. If Jeb was married to some random Mexican woman for PR reasons it doesn't appear to have worked, like, at all. Marrying someone from a wealthy Mexican family from the capitol would have probably been a lot more advantageous.

Not understanding Why is no reason to reject What. If spook’s spook he is, who can say whose spook? or who’s spooked?

he lives in my apartment building in NY
I see him on the elevator sometimes
I will never talk to him out of reverential respect
he looks jewish as hell

Does he appear in inherent vice?

There's nothing about him to suggest he's a spook except that he doesn't do public appearances. A look into the details of the situation reveals lots of evidence to suggest he's a real person, and none that he's a spook.

No.

Everybody ITT please stop replying to this guy, he's so obviously CIA. it physically hurts to watch the retards on Veeky Forums get played by him

Suddenly V. doesn't seem so strange.

Who is this then?

Who wrote this?

That's Slothrop taking his son home with a bag full of smokes and hand sanitizer

Pynchon is too much of an Libertarian Socialist who hates government, business, and exploitation, to possibly be some kind of CIA propaganda spook

>the CIA is completely authoritarian
do you even into spook culture?

>The Egyptian Staff of Osiris, dating back to approximately 1224 BC, depicts two intertwining serpents rising up to meet at a pinecone. Modern scholars and philosophers have noted the staff’s symbolic parallels to the Indian “Kundalini,” a spiritual energy in the body depicted as coiled serpents rising up from the base of the spine to the Third Eye (Pineal Gland) in the moment of enlightenment. Awakened Kundalini represents the merging and alignment of the Chakras, and is said to be the one and only way to attain the “Divine Wisdom” bringing pure joy, pure knowledge and pure love.

Schizophrenia at work

Don't you have a gangstalking thread on /x/ to attend to?

CIA niggers

Counter-Arguments Presented, along w/ Response

1. T. Pynchon's Literature is not concordant with known CIA Literature Operations.

R1. There is no reason to believe that all Spook Literature would fall under one Operation, with all works produced in a similar Style, and for the same Purpose.

2. T.P.'s life as presented in articles is not concordant with the life of a Literature Operative.

R2. They, and I do mean They, may place Thomas P. in deepest Africa in any article they wish, and with five kids plus a Jack Russell Terrier.

...

Those may be responses but they certainly are not rebuttals and still present zero evidence to suggest that Pynchon is anything but an old stoner who writes big books.

What about Pynchon's kid at Vassar(lol) in that band?

a) that's early and middle period "Pynchon." Read Bleeding Edge and you'll see that modern "Pynchon" is a basic bitch NYT liberal who probably voted for Hillary
b) the CIA has no set ideology and has been staffed by socialists before. It is the military wing of the American plutocracy

>the CIA has no set ideology and has been staffed by socialists before. It is the military wing of the American plutocracy

States're small for the Central I.A., otherwise right-o. What is the CIA? What are they All About? The Central Intelligence Agency wins, with a capital double-u.

Proof that Jackson is a Roosevelt?

1. My girlfriend's brother was on the same floor as Pynchon's son at Columbia.
1.1. Such a physical person as Thomas Pynchon would have to exist to produce offspring.
1.1.1. It's highly unlikely that someone (especially a white person) would volunteer their child to be raised by the CIA.
1.1.2. Even if the person agreed to have the CIA raise their child, the way government agencies raise children would be damaging to the child, who is by all reports well-adjusted, if a bit of a dick.
1.2.1. The child could have said something by now.
1.3. Why bother raising a child and putting them through college to provide grounding to a private person?
1.3.1 Pynchon was known his whole life for constantly moving around. But all of a sudden the CIA decides to settle him down in the biggest city in the country, with the most eyes, and give him a son?
2.

>Libertarian Socialist
Yeah I also heard he was a devout Catholic Atheist

>Doesn't know what Libertarian Socialism is.

kys, there is no hope for you.

If the CIA produced Pychon's writing, its by far the best operation they have ever done and might explain their failures as an intelligence agency.

>their failures
What, like overthrowing half the planet's governments and establishing American hegemony?

if the CIA wrote Against the Day I wholly support the CIA and will in fact personally fund them for similar projects

rekt

this

pynchon needs to stop glowing in the dark

>if the CIA wrote Against the Day I wholly support the CIA

Perhaps you could help me with this Mystery. Prior to the publication of Against the Day, a blurb attributed to Thomas Pynchon appeared on Amazon, only to first disappear, then reappear.

This Blurb was printed on the dust jackets of Real Hard Copies, with a few alterations. Lend me your Eyes and your Mind. We'll focus on the close. This is a riddle, or something like it.

Amazon Original:

>Meanwhile, the author is up to his usual business. Characters stop what they're doing to sing what are for the most part stupid songs. Strange sexual practices take place. Obscure languages are spoken, not always idiomatically. Contrary-to-the-fact occurrences occur. If it is not the world, it is what the world might be with a minor adjustment or two. According to some, this is one of the main purposes of fiction.

>Let the reader decide, let the reader beware. Good luck.

>—Thomas Pynchon

Dust Jacket Alteration:

>Meanwhile, Thomas Pynchon is up to his usual business. Characters stop what they're doing to sing what are for the most part stupid songs. Strange and weird sexual practices take place. Obscure languages are spoken, not always idiomatically. Contrary-to-the-fact occurrences occur. Maybe it's not the world, but with a minor adjustment or two it's what the world might be.

So what you are saying is Thomas Pynchon is a CIA N***ER?

Brother, I know you won't believe me but he lives in my apartment too, which means if by some chance you are not fibbing we live in the same in the apartment building.

I posted a while back about him laughing at me for reading Goethe in the lobby. Some old ass tenant told me it was him, even though i kinda sort knew the moment i saw him. He's incredibly pynchonesque, down to the way he walks.

UWS?

Do you go by Tom or Thomas?

Do a meetup. Say you'll both meet at the coffee shop across the street or whatever (no coffee shop name, just to be sure some larper does't show up) and have an agreed upon piece of clothing or book to carry to identify each other by.

I'm down. Have to be honest, I managed to take a picture of him on my phone. I still have it, I look at it when I'm uninspired creatively, but I'll never send it to anyone. I feel dirty for having taken it at all but I was younger and utterly infatuated with him (before you fags ruined it for me)

upload it right now in this thread or I'll analyze your writing style and call you out whenever you post

I refuse to do so out of respect for Thomas "The Rug Muncher" Pynchawn

Who claims respect, respect abandons.
consider yourself dead kiddo

where do I go for moar of this

But I never took the picture, I just wanted to trigger Pynchon because he's on this thread.

Go to bed, Tom, it was all a bad bad dream.

do you read in public to be seen reading?

No you gigantic faggot, it’s quit there and my horrendous roommate doesn’t distract me.

>not being able to read in peace in your own home
living the dream

Lend me your ears, Contumacious Youths, still-borns from the sixties still being produced, all your dazzling gadgets giving you powers once foreign to this old kook, and follow the crumbs that've been placed, paths to something beyond what Ears, Eyes, and Fears can surmise.

Just read the fuckers and quit pretending!

Tom?????

Lo! faces listen! Lions leave the caves at night.

I've met him.
He looks like the guy in the picture, but you'd never guess it's him because he's an old dude with above average social skills.

>Not living in New York
Why do you even read literature?

The funny thing about this post is that not only I'm a libertarian socialist, being one is what drove me to a kind of cahtlic atheism as well (or socio-political jesuitism, idk)

He does exist and he has also posted on here about The Crying of Lot 49 and The Great Gatsby
