I'm currently trying to expand my knowledge about fascism.
So far I've seen these writers being mentioned as a must read:
Mosley
Gentile
Mussolini
Evola
Schmit
Spengler's Decline of The West(?)

What would you recommend Veeky Forums?

Also, I'm looking for books on Pinochet but not sure which one I should give a try, if anyone has any ideas.

Hey OP, nice to see that you are embracing fascism. Are you interested in the Jewish question? If so I can recommend Culture of Critique by Kevin McDonald. The subversive role of the Jew is essential for all proper fascists to understand, so do your homework, white brother.

Deus Vult

Thank you very much. I would already consider myself quite educated on that topic, but I will check it out

No problem. Shadilay

>another thread, another false /pol/post
for what purpose
anyway, it sounds like you have a good start on things, OP. Mussolini is a pretty good introduction, and definitely keep Spengler there. I'd recommend looking at some materials on the Roman Empire - Decline and Fall is good, but also throw in some Tacitus or maybe Suetonius to get a contemporary perspective. Roman militarism is a big influence on later fascist movements.

Umberto Eco - Ur Fascism

>fake /pol/ posting

In order to understand Evola, I recommend Guenon.

>for what purpose

Oldest trick in the Veeky Forums book: if you want people to hate a meme, take the meme and spam it relentlessly in an obnoxious way by amplifying its worst attributes.

This would indicate that the majority of false /pol/posters are probably buttblasted chapo listeners.

Alright, thank you

Spinoza

>false

You forgot "On the Genealogy of Morality"

Bump

Plato's republic is essential, Mussolini et al largely based their idea of fascism on it

yeah faggot I'll call you out what the fuck of it
/pol/ isn't half the problem compared to you cancerous false flaggers both of you can jump a guardrail
not every vaguely right-politik thread needs to be shat up with your asshurt self-congratulatory ironic shitposting
gb2 /leftypol/

Bardeche's Why I am Fascist essay, bits of it are online in english.

Mein Kampf, My Legionairres, and search for biographies on Hitler, Mussolini, Antonenscu and Pavelic.

Get out of here, you anti-semitic fascist moron. It's because of morons like you that America is becoming Hitler 2.0 and we can't have any decent intellectual discussion on Veeky Forums. Uhhhhb *groans*

Spengler had an influence, but I wouldn't really consider him critical to understanding Nazism. Not 'Decline' anyway. The more interesting text of his in that context would probably be 'Prussianism and Socialism'. It must also be noted that Spengler was himself not an ally or fellow traveller of Nazism. You can read his ideas and his texts as part of the situation in Germany that moulded The Third Reich, but don't mistake the man for his impact. Think of Spengler and authors in his vein as more like seismographs.

Mosley doesn't really strike me as critical. An outlier, no real influence. Same for Evola. If you're interested in Evola, read him as secondary to Italian fascism as its own phenomena - but don't be anachronistic in the weight you give to different writers. But don't consider him "must read" for understanding fascism.

Can't go wrong with Carl Schmitt. As with Spengler, people like Schmitt are more interesting when you are open to their horizons beyond the fascist context. Schmitt is interesting in his own right.

Other things you might want to put on your radar:
>Das Dritte Reich - 1923, Arthur Moeller van den Bruck
>Mussolini's Intellectuals - A. James Gregor

Also acquainting yourself with a general history of ethics and political thought will be handy.

plato

is that why communists derail threads constantly with their same critique of capitalism or is it just because theyre communists?

For the topic at hand, ill throw Gabriele D'Annunzio into the ring. Hes more of an artist than a heavy writer like marx but hes interesting and important to italian fascism. Just from a historical perspective hes interesting and can be a break from something heavier. Most notably, he had a paramilitary group, seized a yugoslavian city and formed his own state for a while. I mention him more because i rarely see him mentioned than because of how great his works are.

Three Faces of Fascism

Lets keep it civil ok guys. Just wanna read some books.

Everything by the futurists and Filippo Marinetti.

I dont know who's falseflagging who ITT
