How come a certain religion mysteriously dissapears from 99 percent of sci-fi works set in the near future?

How come a certain religion mysteriously dissapears from 99 percent of sci-fi works set in the near future?

How can a certain type of brainlet shit/pol/sters mysteriously appear in 99 percent of this boards posts

Literally getting closer to Children of Men by the day

Christianity is degenerate and makes shitty art with its retarded mythology

Christianity isn't disappearing, it's just being offloaded onto the third world. It's going to be a primarily Latin American, African, and Asian phenomenon soon. Europe and the rest of the West don't even lead with numbers of Christians anymore - it's left the west behind.

Fuck off Mahmoud

Which, from a Traditional Catholic perspective, is actually good. West Africans tend to be very orthodox, same for Asians. Latin America is mostly a wash.

Yeah, where are all the space-Jews?

How come most religion is mysteriously absent in most sci fi? It's bc religion is old, fake news meant to control the masses. Now we have the internet and high speed porn so the government dropped religion like it was hot yo

love seeing tradcaths pretend their religion will have some grand renaissance instead of becoming a shadow of itself and the laughingstock of the world once its practitioners are mostly third worlders with a mean iq of 75

The liberal media are really closet Christian fascists. They put race mixing on TV to trigger reactionary fat-dads and dumb-mums.

Make sure you get really made about libs, SJWs, cucks, Muslims, and minorities. Ignore that your conservative allies want to tax the rich less, tax you more, and bomb countries until they send you more refugees.

Isolationist Marxism is the solution.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.

blessed are the chinese, for they will actually inherit the land

the meek will die of some malthusian catastrophe once the west collapses under the weight of parasitic demographic cohorts invited in at the behest of people like you

Christianity is not unheard of in China, and will grow in the years to come.

sure it will, until the government decides to supress it

It's been suppressed before. Never works in the end.

Too obvious, user. Work on it.

yeah, of course, that's why china and japan are both christian today

Most religions just change the tune of their dogma to match the times anyway. Christianity as an underground cult in the first century was way different than Constantine's Christianity. Constantine's Christianity was way different than Martin Luther's Christianity. Martin Luther's Christianity is way different from Pope Francis's Christianity.

Then there's the matter of fracturing into sects.

Brainlets don't realize that dogmas are just authoritarian assertions, and that religions are just a grab-bag of dogmas mixed with cultural norms.

If you're dumb enough to accept an arbitrary and grab-bag of dogmas and cultural norms as a whole, without logically evaluating them one-by-one, just because there's massive cultural pressure to accept them, then you're a brainlet.

A CHUD BRAINLET

you aren't disagreeing with me

I know

I was adding on

like that little midget that follows gaston around

I know from statistics Christianity at least is decreasing in Europe and the US. I've heard that it's increasing in China however but I think that it will hit a bubble and then begin receding like the US and Europe as education rises and science progresses.

And I don't think people are waiting for some grand renaissance as much as they're waiting eagerly for the end of the world. I think that there are some interesting thoughts to the idea of the US republican party being so awkwardly in denial about climate change but I don't think there's enough content on that topic. It's going to be a long process and I don't think it'll ever completely vanish.

As far as sci-fi works are concerned you have to look at the way typically they're constructed. Often they are protagonist in the midst of a totalitarian society. It gives the author allowance for creativity in terms of creating that society. They could just take Christianity or Islam and throw it to the max - give that religion a hold on society which would essentially be a terrifying totalitarian society. But that's too easy and it would alienate a large readership.

the best case scenario is an AI global dictatorship wiping out most 99% of humanity so ecological collapse can be averted

We'll put that one in our back pocket for now

>implying

It's amazing how prescient that movie was.

>evaluating complex socio-cultural propositions outside their teleological episteme
