I like Shia
i think i cried more than once reading "a little life"
The Road will fuck you up a little.
the bleakness of the Road
For me it was the realization that my whole life feels like the Road except my father abandoned me when i was 13 because i was crazy
Every now and then i find the trap door in the yard filled with food supplies etc but for the most part i drown in the sandy dust of decay, paranoid, alone, hating the others and desperately wanting to find ones i dont hate, covered in rags and not sure where the fuck i am going
The Road is normie tier McCarthy, read Blood Meridian if you want true pain.
No, both of these are wrong, if you want true hurt from McCarthy read the border trilogy. Start with all the pretty horses and then on to the crossing.
>Plebbit
write everything you regret in life and cry over that
The book thief by Markus Zusak. That book is a real tear jerker.
Blood Meridian was bleak, but The Road hit me with them father-son feels, especially since I made the horrible mistake of going into it blind right after my son was born.
Shit fucked me up for weeks.
This generally will turn into realizing how absurd and meaningless the shit you obsess over truly is.
true
then you won't feel like feeling sad
