Would fugg far left

Libraries are the domain of screaming toddlers in mummy groups, public masturbators and hobos looking for a place to nap. They are presided over by rent seeking old hags who push empty carts around trying to look busy. Even the big old "prestigious" libraries are just places where Asians go to stream Dota 2 with free internet. Out of left field freak shows like the tranny day thing aren't even necessary to keep me away from libraries. The mundane horrors of your average suburban "library" are more than enough.

Canada is a worthless nation.

Is drag art?

What a drag

Hitler should have killed all western people with a nuclear strike to be quite honest

>tfw library gives free calligraphy classes and makes parents and children use a different entrance
american stories about libraries make me imagine a dodgy video porn shop.

>hometown is big enough to have a decent sized library but small enough to not have a homeless population

Feels good.

It's funny how much reading about the US makes it sound like a failed state.

I can't believe they live like that

>relatively poor eurocountry
>huge public libraries
>no hobos
>no unattended children
>no noise
>no bullshit events like dragqueen exhib.
>people actually visit these libraries

At this point I must say I'd rather die than live as an American

>it's a Veeky Forums major doesn't understand statistics episode again

gee, I wonder why America, with 300 million people has more hobos than your little town of 400 people in rural finland.

>it's an American doesn't understand what relative numbers are episode again

Prey tell where you are going with this, because the number of stories of hobos you read about is definitely relative to the number of hobos which is relative to the number of people.

The libraries here are fine. The problem is that there are basically two sorts of libraries in the US: ones for actual research, and ones that serve as sort-of community centers with free internet and coffee. The latter tend to be full of teenagers and hobos

>At this point I must say I'd rather die than live as an American
This desu
I live in one of the biggest shitholes in Italy (Rome) and libraries are almost always treated with respect.

>living in a community big enough to support this kind of sillyness

This

Ever talked to a modem librarian? They're "trendy" old ladies reading strictly at a Stephen King level and can't wait to tell you how libraries aren't just about "boring old books" and how "visual learning" is the future. Took three years to learn how to operate word on their mac, have trouble making folders. Love to get scammed by lazy IT companies and throw tax money on frivolous and worthless crap. Hobbies include gossiping and diet coke. Doesn't know who Hermann Melville is.

what's the point of library in canada and usa if you can't copy rare books or even stay reading more than 3 hours?

I don't know about copying rare books, i think that depends on the library. But you can sure as hell read for more than 3 hours. I've spent entire days in American libraries

If the book is considered rare you can't
There are 140+ year books which you can't basically copy unless you make a request but even so they usually don't allow
It's a waste of money to keep the place running

and when you get the book to read inside the library you have a time limit

I don't know abou the US, but here you need a research permission given by the university to get hold of rare books.

my mother is a librarian. she is also a liberal. she routinely brings home books and throws them in the trash if they are old or racist. She pulls them out of circulation first so according to her it's not technically stealing. I got her to let me keep one. It was a book of illustrated bible stories and was printed in 1890. She wanted to throw it out. I'm serious. I'm an atheist but seeing leftists destroy history makes me kind of pissed off.

Where? I've been to like a dozen libraries in the states and have never heard of this

Hitler did nothing wrong, there are chinks that do that sort of shit too.

Misogyny is rational

Plus if you try to walk in alone they'll look at you suspiciously and ask if your friends are already inside

>need a research permission given by the university
what if you don't belong to the university?

Librarians, marxists and feminists should be shot or sold to muslims as sex slaves for 5 dollars each

Pre-Western Japan was a degenerate shithole though, Greek tier homo-paradise

>but seeing leftists destroy history makes me kind of pissed off.

lol, you ain't seen nothing yet. Wait till the demographic changes kick in over the next few decades and the current year ideology drifts further and further to the left. Much of Veeky Forums's precious literature it uses to gain status and get laid will be wrecked in certain places. Going to be hilarious watching old white hipsters cry or being beaten.

nah
they just had their 40~50 years of mass degeneracy in the recent urban areas

If the muslims conquer the west we have a chance of preserving the rare works
They aren't leftist tier dumb to start burning books. Unless it's a muslim group led by israeli or arab left-wing revolutionaries

Capital city of ~1,8million. Far from rural Finland and believe me there are lots of hobos here. They're free to visit libraries for it's intended purpose: reading. Fuck around and do hobo shit or disturb others with your smell and you get the boot. Same with little kids with parents who don't give a shit: if your child can't behave and disturbs others, you can fuck off.
Enforced rules helps keep the respect we already had for libraries.

Same here, they act as meetingpoints for various groups etc. except if you're an unruly teenager, you get the boot like the stinking hobo or the hyperactive little fucks.

It's just the different attitude towards libraries.

What do you think Anime sprung out of thin air?
Japan was always a seething wound

the jap homosexuals aren't bad like this
youtube.com/watch?v=I6XTmAlOuY8&spfreload=5

why even have libraries now when we have booktube and goodreads' lists? libraries seem antiquated.

Not him but you can ask permission from a uni nonetheless, at least in my country. If you're not university-affiliated but can prove that you're doing research in the relevant field, you usually get it.

If you want to read rare books for fun, you're out of luck.

I wish they allowed copies
in Canada for instance I had a library card. Tried to get some rare symphonic recording that is in public domain no one knew how to get a permission to get a copy
You could only listen there with awful smelly headphones

What do non-westerners legit think when they see this?

>lactatia
Nice

"People defending me..."

Yea, they're homosexual pedophiles.
