Almost comically atrocious

German paperbacks are fucking shit. Unnecessarily thick with thin paper and tiny font, impossible to read without cracking the spine held on by a single dab of glue, and horrible stockphoto covers if they come with images at all. Every German paperback shelf I see is filled with the most busted ass books. I swear Reclams are better made than DtV and Fischer paperbacks.

Is this version worth getting? I'm looking into getting a bible at the moment and am considering this one.

Not the most practical one to handle but the introduction is great, and there's less text on each single page than on most church bibles.

It's quite a huge brick, but there are about 150 pages of explanatory notes at the end, plus maps. It looks nice, paper is not too thin. Would recommend if you're not planning on reading it on the go.

Unfortunately I'm going to be travelling a bit soon and was planning on bringing it with me. It would be literally the only book I have in print to be fair because I've got an ereader for reading when travelling but just wanted a copy of the Bible in print for some reason. I might look for something a bit more manageable size wise though.
