I am deeply versed in their mythology and have spent probably at least 250 hours arguing with them about Egypt, Asia and the racial identity of the Chosen People. They are a fascinating group. Interesting facts for you all, their entire mythology came from Freemasons interacting heavily with moorish mysticism and a bunch of white guilt/pernicious liberal Masons starting to feed theosophical ideas to Muslim retards. Literally everything they believe is a derivative of Theosophy, Masonry, Rosicrucianism, White Supremacist Ariosophy and various bastardizations of things like British Israelitism. Very fascininating subculture. It intersects strongly with Veganism and the New Age movement. A large number of black celebrities unironicall belive many of their tenants and Malcolm X may or may not have known about the Jakub theory, I don't remember from reading X whether or not he did, but I would imagine he at least heard about it. it was mentioned upthread, but yes, X briefly recounted the story of Yakub to Haley for his autobio. He may have even lent it credence at the time of that dictation, it's in the middle of the book IIRC and would have been recounted before he renounced the NOI and took his hajj and said whitey was ok, which was dictated just before his death i.e. the end of the book.

In his notes, Haley said X was very rigorous about going over the drafts from the dictation sessions they held so it might be interpreted that he wanted the Yakub thing in the book's final draft as an example of how obviously nutty the NOI could be.
