I only read fiction. Convince me I'm doing the wrong.

read whatever you want, I don't give a shit

enjoy wasting years of your life reading make believe stories when you could be using that time to study real life events

You are going to die anyways
aesthetics > mental wankery

>study world history
>doesn’t understand corn’s signify be in history
Kys pleb

>You are going to die anyways

Good history reads like fiction

cool story bro

Read mythology and history instead

>Imagination over Critical thinking and cold dependable knowledge

this dayzu

Recommend me a book about corn

Only brainlets think that fiction isn't a platform for both the author and reader to explore critical thought

if the fiction has strong scenarios that either strengthen your convictions or make you contemplate their actions, the opinions and actions of the narrator or characters teaches you important lessons of the human condition

then fiction is ok

fiction has the real emotions of the past, non-fictions has the fake stories of the pat.

>Children of the Corn
>Short Story
>Eh close enough

Or pic related

I find it unnerving immersing myself in a fictitious world constructed by someone I'll never meet face to face for sake of unspoken intellectual discourse

That's a trick statement. It's all fiction, the only difference is degree.
