I think the right has an inherently stronger position though, all they really have to do is the same thing the left did to them in the 60s. What the right has essentially done in the US is that it has taken the place of the counter cultural movement, and it seeks to provoke the left into moral outrage akin to what the leftists of the 60s did to conservative America. They really just have to keep pushing with this same strategy that the left itself used to get into power, and they'll probably end up seizing the cultural initiative, so to speak.

You'd probably want more productive citizens (nationalist or not), more in tax revenue, more investments in tech, industry, jobs that benefit the nation and reduce the social (addicts, drunks, sluggards) problems we shoulder as a nation. By elevating those below you into a position where they can provide for themselves and not take or just do harm, you'd be reducing these perennial problems which have filled speeches for decades and elicited applause from congresses filled with 8 figure earners, you'd actually be elevating yourself into higher stratas of the middle class as well.
