Adorno could easily be read as an unusual conservative, and many on the left did indeed accuse him of conservatism. He wouldn't have stood for modern day identity politics either, but would probably have dismissed these things as bourgeoise distractions.

I'm a leftist and I kinda hate Adorno because he was too much of a brainlet and a beta with a thirst for power, and ended fucking Benjamin's career up because of that. Also, if the possibility of going to the US hadn't showed up I believe Benjamin would have fucked off to south America sooner and would have escaped the nazis, so there's also that.

It's not that simple; Frankfurt School critical theory and Foucault's theory of knowledge and power (albeit watered down and misunderstood) has enabled a whole slew of CRT and post-colonial trash in academia.
