/pol/ loves it because someone told them that Evola agrees with their worldview, but no one on that board actually reads so they've yet to actually discover the contents of his books

>m-muh /pol/

>dribble

Can you stop? This triggers me even more than people using apostrophes for every plural.

discord.gg/JZbA8h Amazing lit discord, please join it. Lots of knowledgeable and down to earth chatters, and many girls too. Join today, 18+ only, you have to list your top 5 books on entry and can't be Libtarded or Cuckservative

He's grating at times, and was a pretentious silver spoon faggot in all honesty, but some of his stuff is excellent advice. Particularly "always think upwards/transcendentally" don't remember which book this was or how he phrased it but it's very solid advice.

dribble past you dunk on your bitch
yo he stole that from HP Blavatsky, literally 80% of the things Guenon and Evola say were taken from Isis Unveiled and The Secret Doctrine and then not credited. She specifically used to say this in her Guide to Theosophy, always look upwards to the Atman-Brahman part of the body. Fucking niggers

Great Discord, I just joined it - and hey, nice dubs.

Can you explain?

lmao you really think anyone on here cares about some no name "philosopher"

As though 'always look to the Transcendental' is some sort of highly original insight, and not like the most basic fucking element of all religion and philosophy ever

Evola and Savitri Devi are both authors that I had a hard time understanding the appeal of. I first read Ride the Tiger when I was a lolbertarian and just looking for something to read. I was most interested by the obvious influence of Heidegger on Evola, who I had just been trying to understand and read with some level of comprehension. (Kant, Hegel, and Heidegger are honestly some of the toughest reads I've ever had.)

In a long and complicated process, I politically went from lolbertarian to Marxian Socialist, just long enough to join the Wobblies and participate in a few Antifa protests, before becoming disillusioned and moving towards Italian Fascism. I then tried to re-read Evola and nada, nothing really changed. I honestly think that he's overrated. If you're wanting something political, I'd shill Giovanni Gentile's Doctrine and Origins of Fascism, Marx's Capital, Aristotle's Politics, or Saint Augustine's The City of God.

Would a socially conservative, economically left/socialist user be welcome?

Come on in

i joined but im scared to talk everyone has names and they know eachother

its okay if you don't understand it.

never read him, but I have looked into his ideas some
a nice insight of his is that if your stance can't exist in a vacuum, you have no real stance.
that, and that as long as the right operates on the left's playing-field, under their rules, it will lose.
as for how right he is that politics is a lost battle, I think he's retarded. things can be turned around to go in a million different directions.

what a strange response

Devi has meme appeal but I don't think Evola has any. Evola's metaphysics are Plotinus.

I'd recommend Sorel's Reflections on Violence over Gentile but that's just me.

>dribble
Nice meme. Just tell yourself its Mediterranean Chesterton and it should become more palatable.

>intellectual property on theosophical ideas
Nice meme

> Devi has meme appeal but I don't think Evola has any. Evola's metaphysics are Plotinus.
I agree. Ah? I need to this Plato guy... I have a copy of his Republic sitting around somewhere that I picked up at a library sale.
> I'd recommend Sorel's Reflections on Violence over Gentile but that's just me.
Another book I have already, but haven't gotten around to reading! I'll add it to my backlog.

I thought Chesterton was the European Unibomber
what does that make Evola?

>I have a copy of his Republic sitting around
>tfw I was looking for my copy so I could get started but my sister took it after she was in a philosophy kick
p-project g-gutenberg here I come

No, I mean Evola larps Plotinus' metaphysics, not Plato. Either Read Plotinus or read Rene Guenon, who is traditionalism done right.

>I thought Chesterton was the European Unibomber
what the fuck are you even trying to say here

>traditionalism done right
>all religions are one with no sources to back this up
>lets steal from other people and then mock and criticize them
he specifically stole that from Blavatsky and it absolutely, formulated in such a way, is not how its referred to in most exoteric religions. He blatantly skimmed theosophical texts, stole everything he could, then tried to ruin HP Blavatsky's name
she invented all the ideas in Evola and Guenon's works, they stole everything from her and then disowned her and made up their own fake, degraded metaphysics which was grafted off of other thinkers. None of the things they think make sense outside of the cosmogeny of the theosophical schools. You people are faggots

ideologically speaking :^)

Why did you leave Antifa? We need you. The fight is not close to be over.

That's not Guenon at all. He walks a narrow path of anti-liberal multiculturalism based on the belief that metaphysics necessarily transcends language, so it can't be contained to one particular tradition but necessarily must be experienced through tradition.

>I politically went from lolbertarian to Marxian Socialist, just long enough to join the Wobblies and participate in a few Antifa protests, before becoming disillusioned and moving towards Italian Fascism.
You realize that you just have a mental disorder right?

He took his beliefs from Theosophy without crediting them and distorted them so that it would support authoritarian Catholicism and Islam

>I politically went from lolbertarian to Marxian Socialist, just long enough to join the Wobblies and participate in a few Antifa protests, before becoming disillusioned and moving towards Italian Fascism.
can i write a novel about you

it is you lost

this further proves my belief that this site is full of 12 year olds

what school district do you live in where kids are into Evola?

>Unironically shilling theosophy, and this hard no less

im home schooled

You actually think Blavatsky was the source of transcendentalism? Are you being serious?

not shilling, just counter-signaling pseudery like Guenon and Evola a fucking Kike worshipping long face incel and a disgusting closet homosexual fascist who both had no potency spiritually and should be mocked
Blavatsky was the first westerner to seriously make an attempt to make a doctrine of occult metaphysics that was drawn from the Eastern schools of thought while also heavily touching upon Kabbalah, Hermeticism, Gnosticism and Greco-Roman mystery cults. She was distinguished by being vehemently anti-Christian and anti-Islamic (anti-Judaic would be a euphemism, she was a religious and cultural anti-Semite but I like Nietzsche and Spengler who were also cultural/religious anti-Semites so its besides the point) and she was the first occultist to introduce the idea of well formulated spiritual atomism, reincarnation, and spiritual evolution. Everything after her is a footnote. She denounced mediums before Guenon, she denounced Sex magik before Guenon, she went to India and Tibet and this is absolutely confirmed by personal documents ad testimonies from people not involved in theosophy but who knew her during the mid 19th century. Everything that has been written about her are lies. She has been slandered for 120 years now and her name dragged through the mud by the insane successors she had (Besant, Bailey, Leedbeater, List other lunatic fascists).

Transcendentalism is not the same thing as "look to the transcendent always" which was not a common understanding in the West, and was not a motto of ANY occult organization explicitly until she put it in her handbook for Theosophists. Guenon lifted this from her writings specifically, Evola's talk of stages of spiritual development, separating from the lower body etc ALL come from Blavatasky, the obsession with initiation and brotherhoods comes from Blavatsky. YOU have never read her works, YOU uncritically took the word of johnny come lately's against her work. YOU are the one who is confused here. Not me, I've done my research. I've read thousands of pages of occult documents over the last decade. What do you have to show for your time here?

im trad but still gonna get a face tat

I like Blavatsky but think Gurdjieff's Fourth Way outmatches her system, and offers much more practical guidance on how to actually go about evolving yourself.

Wrong.

I'm not even fully finished reading Evola, but do you believe that philosophy/morality may be genetically influenced? It seems at the very least to be possible.

Get off this board and go back to whence you came

Was going to read Evola but now I'm not sure. Would you recommend I start with him just to get a basis and then move onto blavatsky?

Führer dubs, nice

Theosophists are subversive charlatans. (((Hall))) and his ilk have fucked up the Eastern traditions for the west. You are better off reading Frithjof Schuon, Guenon, and then Evola.

Alright, I'll read a variety and come to my own conclusions.

Not him, but obviously yes. Behaviors/certain flavors of morality will be bred into the DNA of a people after a long enough time period. Evola valued the spiritual nature of a man first, but didn't ignore racial differences.

Is that you on the pic OP?

>i cant believe anybody could take his extreme dribble seriously
lmao

HE IS NOT FOR NORMIES, I REPEAT NOT FOR NORMIES. EVEN /pol/ IS TOOOO NORMIE

>>all religions are one with no sources to back this up
