Good writing software

I don't know if many of you write as a hobby, but if so, what software would you recommend? I can't ctrl f on paper

meme answer: emacs/vim
real answer: Evernote, Google docs
grug: ms word

>real answer: Evernote, Google docs
you are a little baby

Check out Sublime Text - LaTeX if you wanna get constructivist

No Evernote for Win7, Don't trust my shitty internet to use a browser app, Vim site is down.. Guess Emacs it is!

Scrivener is indispensable if you're writing anything long and/or planning on publishing.

too lazy to pirate yet ANOTHER Adobe software

there is Evernote for win7

How many fucking software programs has Adobe?

o shit you're right, I was looking at it in the Microsoft Store

Libre office, good because it's word but free, runs on linux but also win. And no matter what you think buying shit isn't going to make you a better writer.

unless you are a professional writer you wouldn't have much use for framemaker

???
they're a major software company. they have many products. is that somehow surprising?

wordpad of course

vim, notepad. Its about the content first, right?

Typewriter.

Wordgrinder. I write all of my essays in it then export to odt for submission

W R I T E M O N K E Y

Notepad or equivalent.
Then LaTeX.

>W R I T E M O N K E Y
this is pretty neat, but it doesn't do more than what Word or its equivalents can do. its just a lot simpler

Name one single valid option other than google docs (pro tip: you can't.)
Why would you use a program that stores you files in your computer when you can simply store it on the cloud? If anything happens to your computer's hard drive you are fucked, if anything happens to your computer you are fucked. Why take the risk?

Singular Writer. Scrivener made easy.

Dark Room or Focuswriter for immersive first draft sessions.

>W R I T E M O N K E Y
>Singular Writer
Thanks, these two look interesting.

if you are always in an area that has wifi coverage you're not truly living the literary lifestyle

Unironically emacs org-mode. Maybe with spacemacs.
