I once thought that trying to do higher order math while tripping on acid would allow me to make amazing breakthroughs. I didn't make any progress (especially since I was just an undergrad taking complex analysis at the time) but it was a lot of fun. I will say that, if you don't like math normally, I doubt it will make it much more enjoyable.
