4D CHESS

You can't read the book title or the author name completely though

Got it printed into poster format, I liked the cover more than the book (which I really liked, btw)

Here's the japanese a e s t h e t i c one for you

I really love this series' looks and they publish good stuff aswell, gonna post some
I also have The Prince which may be the best of their covers but I don't have it with me rn

Twilight of the Idols

Notes from the Underground

Three dialogues of Seneca:
On the Happy Life
On the Tranquillity of the Mind
On Providence

tolkien was an underrated self-illustrator.
he created a lot of illustrations for his novels, sadly the publishers seldom wanted them.

Really aesthetic, but you forgot to mention that they are made out of the cheapest cardboard possible, you cigányfattyú

...

That's the thing I'm worried about the least
It's nice, cheap and the books themselves are great
As an alternative I could buy the used ugly af socialism era editions that may have hard cover but are hideous te kankó

What? Book title and author's name are in white characters at the bottom.

i can't read hieroglyphs

Have you even looked at the socialist era covers?
The philosophical texts are nice and neutral. And sometimes the costs are comparable, this goes for classic literature too.
I agree that they are cheap and nice, and have some nice texts (Honestly, I don't think there is a nicer edition of Confucius that was recently in print)
But you have to be really careful not to damage these, the nyomoronc.
P.S. The cover of Tao te Ching is retarded with the sinto gate
I wish they would reprint Wittgenstein in this edition

uncomparable

>not cropping your screenshots

I don't see that is the problem with those covers. There are certainly worse offenders, my dear seggarc.
And those don't fall apart
Honestly, the 90s had a lot of shitty prints, just like the 50s

will I go to hell for this

there are but they are still fugly and unimaginative
also they DO fall apart

That's why you don't buy a 90s paperback but a good print from the 60s-70s-80s.
Or anything published by Kriterion or Szépirodalmi KönyvkiadóThose are absolute trash

Source on what series this is. Googled 999 ft but got nothing

Helikon Zsebkönyvek
999 ft (forint) is the price (About 4 dollars)

Thanks

These are cool photos, but bad book covers.

So don't buy a Japanese copy

gorgeous

this cover always catches my eye when i see it in a bookshop, and sometimes i flick through briefly.
but i've never read it fully.
seems like a long-winded creepypasta.
should i give it a chance?

It's a bit more than that, it's got some depth (kek) to it

Fuck you and your 4k picture.
Motha fucka.

Off topic but do people know about the Queen of Denmark's LOTR illustrations? Really good imo.

the first half is fun.

>this wasn't posted yet
Disgraceful

>In her spare time, the Danish monarch enjoys painting and over the years she has held many art shows. Her illustrations were used for the Danish edition of The Lord of the Rings, under the pseudonym Ingahild Grathmer, after she sent them to J.R.R. Tolkien who was instantly impressed by the royal's drawings.
Based Margrethe

seen these before, but i had no idea they were by the Queen of Denmark
very nice

It looks like shit tho? Get some taste.

Woah

brfag? wanted really hard to buy that very edition, since I want to learn latin this year, but fuck...its expensive as shit.

fucking love bilingue editions though, I know italian, so I bought a bilingue edition of divine comedy and it was excellent

odyssey's cover is also aesthetic

...

...

where did you get the 2666 poster?

It's a good book and a quick read

gtfo pewdiepie

A edição bilíngue da Landmark? Também a tenho aqui, assim como essa Odisseia da 34.

Fappable too

...

...

Stop trying to meme this shit

I like this one. I wouldn’t call it ‘aesthetic’ though

format is better than the penguin one, but the image isnt as good

Some of my favourites

13 RUSSIANS

too much information

No, it's very good.
It's recreating the ruins of a city.

Why is japan so based

Veeky Forums should publish public domain books with meme covers

le lasagna face

>Book has iconic and well-designed cover
>Order online
>Get some bullshit because what was listed was only for the first-edition hardcover version
Like look at this shit, I got the third one on the top and genuinely almost returned it because of how horrible the cover was

I have the second one on the top which I didn't mind so much but it's pretty poor compared to the first on the top.

The emoji looking one is ridiculous.

Love the color, the typecase and the composition (all there is to love).

i have the 4th on the top. i love it.

is the art a work of Jake and Dinos Chapman?

>that artist
