Why did Marxists fail to produce an alternative to capitalism every single time they've tried...

Why did Marxists fail to produce an alternative to capitalism every single time they've tried? What are some good books on this?

because marxism is wrong

Because their world view is inaccurate and instead of adjusting their worldview when needed, they try to adjust reality to fit their utopistic expectations and because of that they always fail spectacularly.

Atheism + a dependency on altruism is not a productive combination

because a mere revolution can't turn subhuman poorfags who were shaped by brutal inequality into "new socialist men" who are educated, civically minded, egalitarian and dedicated to bettering society.

I wouldn't say that the world view of old school, non SJW Marxists is wrong. The Marxist analysis of capitalism is still unmatched. Their faults lie in having a vague idea of what communism would be and lacking pragmatism regarding the means appropriate to reach communism.

Technically the transitional phase of socialism is supposed to take care of that. Unfortunately culture has a lot of inertia. You'd need a transitional phase over several generations. More in southern countries were civic notions never really took hold.

Yep this is precisely why the Russian Revolution was a disaster and the USSR turned into russian Empire v 2.0

>why did Marxists fail to produce an alternative to capitalism when they get coup'd or sanctioned to hell when they try
>history is a vaccum

So you fags are true believers, huh?

Atheism + materialism + utopianism + Labour theory of value = ????

why do we have to have a thread about marxism every day?

>The Marxist analysis of capitalism is still unmatched.
t. Thinks his analysis can be applied to today's capitalism

it has already been successfully applied

> What are some good books on this?

Carl Schmitt's Nomos of the Earth. The writings of Georges Sorel. The writings of Paul Piccone (one of the few honest Marxists that every one should read).

>. The Marxist analysis of capitalism is still unmatched.

No, it's really not. Marx fucked up by critiquing Darimon (although Darimon is by no means perfect) and giving us a retardedly abstract Hegelian conception of money. Marxist analysis was cucked from the start, even if it has valid things to say.

T. Person who has never read Marx.
Marx barely said anything about money, you lying turd.

> Marx barely said anything about money

Amazing.

Alternatives exist.

Capitalists just keep murdering everyone.

Shhh

Marxists don't work. They talk a lot about workers, but they don't work.

You're talking about communists and pseudo-Marxists, true thinkers in the vein of Marx
such Deleuze, Baudrillard, Clouscard (yes I have a hard on for French post-Marxism, it's not limited to that country's intellectual scene though) have adjusted their worldview dramatically, taking what's useful in Marxist dialectical critique and discarding the useless parts (the 20th century progressive project). The really batshit part about the classical Marxism is it's teleology of progress, however, most of the reputable marxists and post-marxists have abandoned it. I agree though I fucking despise communists.

t. brainlet who doesn't understand the difference between money and capital
Marx talked extensively about capital but he barely talked about money.
This.

>every single time they've tried
Because they haven't. Just because they called themselves marxists doesn't mean what they did was marxism.

there is no such thing as "an alternative to capitalism;" there are only bridles

they didn’t fail they set up two gigantic socialist states which lasted for decades and deteriorated into mixed economies in the second half of the 20th century. Deng and Gorbachev sealed the deal for Socialist states.

Marx designed it that way. like putting something behind a glass wall.
