easy

my contribution

the best post colonial/AA literature IMO

How was this? I work in a used bookstore and I was intrigued when this came through the other day.

Too easy

My novel about gregory berrycone

i bought it solely for the cover. its a long read for something thats pretty much a kafkaesque (sorry) mystery but the twist is pretty unique. it holds your hand all the way through which is good because there are a lot of names that start with M or S, which can get confusing. theres an index in the beginning that is useful to look back to and every several chapters the protagonist recaps all the information he has. the whole story takes place over something like a week if i remember correctly. worth reading if you want to kill time with something more pedestrian. i love murder mystery when done right and this did it very well.

i guess i should have added how you liked the novels. are they worth reading?

Death by Water was breddy gud

I read that book and it was boring japanese workaholic cubiclefarm shit. Trust Japan to take something like the detective novel and have it play out in dry, middle management office spaces.

I'm and it's extremely good, especially the first story "Kindness"

more stuff to add to my backlog then, thanks

>ラIX テロ乂ヌ
Whoever designed that cover deserves to be shot

Actually I've read it

>He's never let anyone else read his diary

Non-fiction, but it tells the story of a failed Christian socialist utopia that a group of Australians tried to build in the 1890s in Paraguay. Fascinating story

Currently reading a sample of this.

I fuckz with it, even if it is still in the pseudohippie post-Cortazar style every Latinamerican writer adopts at some point. Reminds me of a less boring Tao Lin.

i would be pleasantly surprised if anyone here has read any of these

I've read all of them

not even close faggot, like 5 people here have read it

easy peezy weenie squeezy

Probably this.

I've only read 2.

An anthology. I literally cried while reading several of the pieces and my copy has teardrop marks.

Is this bait?

it has to be

As a cis man who often fantasises about his female alter ego, let me say that gender trouble is a privileged person's problem. There's no such thing as a trans person living in a slum or toiling on a field. More often than not they're poor urban souls who have been gyped by reddit and the liberal media into thinking that every single individual has a unique fleshed out purely positive identity just waiting to be discovered. No, there's nothing there. It's all illusion. You find being in a body disconcerting? So does everyone. Why do you think dualism exists? In short, get over yourself, you will never be as interesting as society has fooled you into thinking you are.

ooooh, which ones.

Huh I dont remember the x kanji

メ, and it's not kanji.

Herzog on Herzog and Steps. I'm not as much of a reader as others here, I just happen to fall into the camps of movies and Polish stuff.

Song of kahunsha

I've read it

I'm pretty sure Im the only one who ACTUALLY read it.

You guys should read it, it's lovely.

Fuck, you made me want to read it. I skipped it based on the blurb but if that's what it's actually like, added.

I'm hesitant of anything with Buddha in the title thanks to all the nonsense "Tao of X" books.

Never heard of those, what are they?

Little known gem.
