don't know a single thing about it and i consider that one of my most attractive attributes

great form, bad content, worse fanbase

It's the Ulysses of the 21st century

What’s homestuck? I only see porn of it on /aco/

It subverts all your expectations, which is fine until your expectation is "getting an ending that doesn't suck".

What is homestuck? I've heard people talk about I for ages but never bothered checking it.

I stopped going to /aco/ because the trap threads have been really lacking lately.

Man this brings back memories, I never read it but when I was in high school I used to bang these two girls who were obsessed with it.

theatre of coolty changed my life.

it's a long webcomic that uses basically every form of internet media

we could change that

[DIRK 3 snaps his fingers. DIRK 2 falls to the floor, motionless.]

[The word “DEAD” appears in midair above DIRK 2’s fallen body. It is in comic sans.]

DIRK 4: You monster. He barely got a character arc.

DIRK 3: What? He expressed, like, a bunch of emotions, a few pages ago. Then he went and tried to do something and failed. Then he died. How else do you write a story?

Problem Sleuth was better.

Could've been great, but Hussie wrote it without thinking ahead and wasn't talented enough to keep it from crashing down. Also he enjoyed shitting on the (terrible) fan base more than actually making the comic.

Should reboot it and rewrite everything after the original four kids get to their planets.

I was obsessed with it for a while, had just started college and had no friends so the fanbase was one of the few things I could "belong to". I would browse the /co/ general all day everyday and stay up until like 3 AM waiting for updates. This was before the trolls were introduced and it all went to shit. Eventually updates took so long I lost interest.

Looking back, I realize it sucks.

Is it any good? I tried reading it like 6 years ago, didn't really 'get' it

It's unique, that's for sure. It makes use of its web-based medium like nothing had before or has since, to my knowledge. If you go in knowing that things kind of fall apart in the middle of Act 6, you'll be less disappointed in it than those of us who followed it serially.

a fun timetravel story that fails to emulate it's initial form; /vr/, and grows into an ensemble cast scrap book.
occasionally turning the page demonstrated use of multimedia.
