well JRPGs are all inspired by the original Western RPGs like Ultima, which were inspired by generic fantasy shit, so go take a look at /SFFG/

Start With The Greeks

but unironically

Don Quixote

This

I advice to heavily to look into chilveric tales. if you want something Dark Souls-y read Norse mythology (the Eddas, sagas) , The Nibelungenlied and Arthur

The Iliad

epic poetry in general really

Gene Wolfe's Wizard Knight says otherwise

I live in Russia and know these books, they're shit.

I don't live in Russia. many of them are by western authors. They are indeed most often of low quality but OP seems to want the mechanic more than quality

the legend of the 10 elemental masters

Shannara?

Shannara is girl YA. rpg and cape books are boy YA

No it doesn't.

Why would you want a book with a jrpg feeling? Why don't you just play a jrpg?

I’ve played all of them. All decent okay.
