all these absolute retards talking about migration while ignoring the basic reality that human populations are not all the same. literal fucking clown world

this, it's hard to unsee once you've seen how infantilized grown adults with expensive educations can be

it seems to be a gift reserved for a rare few people to be able to read things from the perspectives of their authors, and actually understand them. "nothing human is foreign to me" and all that. it's at its most bizarre when you see social scientists and humanists who are obviously steeped in hermeneutic traditions and all that jazz, and they still go FASCISM EVERYTHING IS FASCISM THIS IS FASCISM and reduce "The Right" as a boogeyman to a typology that would have been embarrassing for a liberal dilettante essayist in the 1950s to write

the impassible inescapable ring of shibboleths just gets tighter and tighter with every generation, every new crop of leftists and liberals having to call an increasing number of things fascists and willing to call a decreasing number of things leftists. they completely leave out actual socialism or leftist praxis from the latter category, since that has been fascism since at least the 1960s. the only way to not be a fascist right now is to have a rainbow skittles potpourri of genderfluid cocks in your mouth.

Am I the only one bothered by the statement about how declaring yourself a Marxist is followed by being courted by academia, media etc. as the most logical thing in the world, like observing sun rising in the morning.

1/4 of academics in the social sciences are Marxists user

>who are obviously steeped in hermeneutic traditions
great point.

This reminds me of the way conservatives used to be, or how I used to view them, before everything got all fucked up. It used to be that conservatives called every progressive measure "communist", refused to understand what the other side was on about, and displayed ignorance for the true conservative causes. Now this is reversed in exactly the same way.

Many roles of conservatives and leftists have been reversed in the past decade. It is bizarre.

their entire worldview is just a piece of shit dogma without the decency to even have the normal benefits of religion.

I'm so fucking sick of their irrational hysterics, their smug preening and idiotic lack of self-awareness. Useless morons jerking each other off while the society they stole from better people crumbles around them.

In all history there hasn't been a more deluded and childish pack of effeminate fucktards

Thats exactly the point.

fascism won the war in 1945 and this isn’t allowed to be talked about at any more because people don’t understand how eugenics=neo-liberal economic technocracy and how advertising is just propagandizing taken to new heights that reveal new forms of the same machine that converted a nation of christian democrats and monarchists to blood and soil totalitarians

wrong, but depending on faculty, there are 10 or 30 dems for every rep.

exceptions are law,economics,natural sciences

>About 18 percent of social scientists in the United States self-identify as Marxists

1/5 oop

And those are just the one's that self-identify. Not the one's that keep refuse to say, or those that hold Marxist beliefs but do not like the label.

I'm starting to understand the rational behind mob executions.

That's not what your source says.
Also I can't find any data on this but I'd be pretty surprised if the ratio of dems to republicans was much lower in natural sciences than the humanities. Politics is more than culture wars, and republicans are more often than not on the other side of issues where scientists have already reached a consensus. Also, they're unwilling to fund basic research.

>In other words Žižek wants to send European troops to Libya, Jordan, Lebanon and other states to imprison refugees there.
the poor bastards are already in prison camps, and being tortured, raped, and sold a slaves as you were typing that, seriously anyone with a computer can google news refugee rape camps libya or something and find every single news outlet talking about this, some are now even investigating the rape camps on this side of the mediterranean
žižek can be the second coming of hitler all you want, it's seeing people proclaiming themselves as pro-refugee or socialists behaving like this that makes me legit fucking mad
is there any particular reason why proles on this side of the mediterranean aren't allowed to go there and help proles on the other facing all manner of abuse and injustice
o great world socialist website / whence cometh thy sagacious materialist guidance / which world which timeline
but to answer op's question, it's because they are evil
in case you were wondering if the mustache twirling, black clothes-wearing, unambiguously and cartoonishly evil for the sake of evil, purposelessly cruel and malicious sorry excuses for people could possibly exist irl, the answer is they are a thing

How can this be a published philosopher? The text is so poorly written.

How can someone have a training in philosophy and not be able to detach himself from his position and examine opposing views with fairness?

>i would prefer if you didn't incite violence in cologne=rehash of kipling's imperialism

this is what happens when you identify as "not racist" instead of "realyl really not racist." the left consumes itself.

it's tacit. it's disgusting. you aren't even asked about your political views in academia, it's a matter of how radicalized you are. it's assumed that everyone in the humanities is "right" (meaning leftist), so you distinguish yourself based on what elements of the prtriarchy trigger you and cause you to protest or, let's be real, meet your inane hashtag quota for the day. and what's funny about it is that academics pretend that hegemony must be reconsidered without realizing that the hegemonic view is Marxist now in those circles. so resisting Marxism would actually be the subversive move.

zizek wants a welfare state. case closed.

>blood and soil totalitarians
mmmmmh yummy aesthetic! there is a nobility to throwing your life away for an abstract identity really

welcome home zizek
its a good thing for the far left to mindlessly increase the boundry of the right wing and deligitimatize their own position in the process

Its basically their buzzword equivalent of "cultural marxism"

The future will be decided by fascism vs cultural Marxism

a lot of these old fucks are grandfathered into academia because they were doing it before the sector became incredibly overpopulated and competitive. now if you even want a shot at top phds and publications you need to have immaculate prose as a baseline requirement.

a lot of people criticize the intellectual traditions that these reactionary types spring from but i think those criticisms miss the more important point: academia has been extremely marketized in the last 20-30 years. the pressures to publish and generally remain profitable (i.e. non-controversial) have driven all the career-frenzied academics into the hermitages of whatever is fashionable to write about. they know that when they make these facile arguments about conservatives or fascism or whatever that they will get noticed, they will garner pageviews, and they will bring publicity. unis care for little else these days besides the most profitable zeitgeist they can tap into.

It's working versus ruling class like always.

Zizek is still against capital.
Doesn't mean shit. I personally don't like zizek take on ex socialist countries but it doesn't mean I don't agree with zizek on a lot of other stuff. Communist parties all over europe get called fascist for not being liberal. Nothing new here. Radical left never changed a position, just because a few liberals attack us this way it won change shit. We are maybe 3 all over the world, but we are still here

The working class would include bankers, CEOs at this point....pretty much everyone except NEETs is a worker.

>"Schwarz"

really activates my almonds

it's the violence inherent in the system, op. ideas no longer compete on merit. there is an additional dimension of political compatibility.

>What's with modern philosophers and accusing everyone who gains any notoriety of being a fascist or crypto-fascist?
I don't know. It's just a game of semantics, but they're too stupid to understand that, it seems, because they're so invested in their retarded world views.
