wow op, you have every read of that book?

...

my diary desu

I mean, is this even a contest?

In case anyone asks, I read it because I had heard on NPR it was being banned from libraries and I'm in the actual BDSM scene so I thought I'd enjoy it. I didn't. Now I read and watch the movies out of spite and to force myself to write my own novels. (Never paid for any, don't worry.)

When I got my copy from the library it already had some sort of stain on the pages.

>Now I read and watch the movies out of spite
Why?

Is it that bad, really?

Well for one, because I enjoy hating things.
I did workout sessions for months while watching all of the Twilight films.
For two, because every time I read those books I get really angry and end up being inspired to write my own books. My first novel is actually almost done.

Also if that guy is around who outed me as /fitlit/ hit me up.

The only correct answer.

He literally said he was into BDSM so it's no wonder he likes to torture himself

>"ohhhh yeah"
>"mince that participle, daddy"
>"i've been a bad boy, i need shitty character development"

I don't read worst books.

>you have every read of that book?
What did he mean by this?

Sadly, getting someone to read a shitty book usually requires a pop culture trend like Twilight or 50 Shades or something considered offensive like The Turner Diaries. Too bad, I don't think we'll ever know the Manos of books.

...

I thought it'd be some ok fantasy like Scott Lynch's. Instead I got fucking Twilight with wizards. Fuck this shit.

...

...

Timeline by Crichton. Makes me not want to read Jurassic.

not the worst but it was definitely garbage.

pic related, i think it hasn't been translated into english and i hope it never will be. they also filmed a movie based on it and i assume it's as garbage as the book if not even more so.

Remise de peine by Modiano
nobel prize winner no less

I've read The Fault In Our Stars. Not that there aren't any worse ones, but that's the worst one I've read from start to finish.
I'd like to say anything by Dan Brown because he sucks, but the books are massive.

I have read a lot of bad books but most know they are bad and are not trying to be deep

best young adult book of the year my ass, goodreads. fucking shills

fuck this book its been ten years and i still hate it

Bit of a meme answer but Twilight.

in uncultured swine, but i'm a big fan of chuck palahniuk and even i couldn't stand beautiful you
it was a boring circlejerk that wasn't even interesting in terms of syntax or detail. his newer books have been pretty trash for the last few years, desu

incredible post

The worst books i don't finish them... well, not true. I dropped to kill a mockingbird before even finishing one chapter, not sure if that counts.

Though one book i've stopped liking altogether was cien aƱos de soledad(bc read on mexican). It's just pulp without any substance, at least de sade wrote scat porn about the church and it was funny; Marquez is just a sellout

Ready Player One is the worst book I've ever completed but Armada is so much fucking worse. It's mentally painful to push through that garbage. couldn't get past the fifth chapter

I don't remember the title and it's infuriating. I want to shittalk the damn book but I don't know what it's called.

It's about some cuban immigrant in Florida that rob some depot together with his cousin, his brother and some random. His brother is a fat idiot and is addicted to coke and strippers. There's a guy with a fire fetish. A female FBI agent end up busting the group and solving the case by recognizing one of the guys enormous dick.

Yeah it was pretty shit, I don't know why it even won an award.

reminder

Are worse books out there? No doubt but this shit is no different from turner diaries.

Madre de dios la bestia...

Immortal (Immortal #1) by Gene Doucette

I despise the the author who wrote this and feel empathy for that man who voiced this for audible

goodreads.com/book/show/31817191-immortal?ac=1&from_search=true

God those books were shit

Brisingr was arguably the worst. I didn't think that you could make a book entirely out of filler, but Paolini did it.

I can't tell if you're a sadist, a masochist, or a switch..

I've had to read a lot of #woke #POC #beautifulblakwomyn writers for school and as a result I've read a lot of trash that shouldn't have seen the light of day, but this one takes the cake.
This book is so bad it has a Q&A with the author at the end so she can justify a lot of the mistakes throughout the text.

...

he knew that he had to kill those savages

I am convinced that 95% of the people on this board could write something better than this pandering piece of crap

What I expected

>Come and See: The Novel

What i got

>120 Days of Sodom but in the Polish countryside

Icing in the cake was realising the author was a Jew and a proven fraud.

Fuck you, those books were my childhood and influenced me to read Tolkien.

I forced myself to finish this thing as a form of punishment for even being stupid enough to buy it

I'm a sub. I'm not too into pain, I like being tied up, bootplay, sensory deprivation, stuff like that.

Haven't read it, what was bad about it? I like his speeches.

WOOF

The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon

probably some tao lin book

-_-

looks gay what is it

Just ready a steamy turd. It's an /out/ autists wet dream. English major druggie who likes to ski quits his dmv job to make snow, bang a homely woman, quote super troopers and go innawoods as he dreams about society collapsing. Absolute asshole desu.

Nice, thanks have not seen that.

Got the audio - two chapters in, pretty good so far.

Needless to say (but I will fucking say it regardless), think for yourself.

Google says this:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S._(Dorst_novel)

Looks interesting, disappointing that it is - apparently - shit.

Unreadable

Of those I've finished probably Death in Venice by Thomas Mann. Might've been due to a bad translation, though. German translates surprisingly bad into Norwegian.

You fucking wot
>Death in Venice by Thomas Man
How so?

Literally missed the point this much, embarrassed 4u

The worst book I finished was probably The Martian, although I still enjoyed moments of it (the humour is irritating, but finding solutions to each obstacle he faced had some moments of tension that was enough to keep me reading).

> picture of a sniper rifle floating over sandy ground

wow thanks for that if it wasn't for that i wouldn't know what a sniper was or that it was american really makes you think

You should've known better to not be duped by gimmick-literature for people who don't read by someone who remade Star Wars and Star Trek.

Why didn't you like it, user? I thought Walden was a joy.

...

B L A S P H E M Y

To be fair i enjoyed them when i was younger. I only reread them now because I was curious what i found so captivating about them and I realized that i was just hard for the elf girl.

His original saga was the best one imo. It basically got me into reading as a 13 year old.

This is so fucking retarded

Wasn't Carlos Hathcock more effective

I am pretty liberal when it comes to just not finishing books that I think aren't good. The worst I've ever actually finished are either pick related, or "Delicious Foods"

Never read Jurassic, but I read Dragon Teeth, and it was decent. I bet Jurassic is a fine page-turner

Yeah, his YA novels were complete dogshit, but I actually kind of life some of his older books, like Sick Puppy.

As always, A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore. The Schlock of the Schlock supreme.

Now, now... let's not forget that some people are guests on our English-speaking tie-dye instructional web portal.

Maybe it's the translation but it's hard to read

>Is probably older than 16 and still hasn't outgrown The Stranger

but the book chemist said he liked it

...

...

Please tell me this is self published

Of course, the brave and badass Zach Dolager would never edit his story to appeal to corporate whims.

bumdefense.wixsite.com/gfadie

Only finished because it was such a quick read.

...

can i tickle torture you user

you take that back you queer or i'll make you

To kill a mockingbird

still better than Pygmy. Fuck Chuck for making me read that abomination.

Siddhartha

...

how bout you get some taste

stop shilling your own shitty book

Fuck you buddy, that was a cool r'asscloth book.

Your are oh so incredibly wrong

>that time the Booker prize was awarded to a shitty book just because the author was both gay and black simultaneously.

The absolute state of literature.

He also said that RPO is a philosophy piece for nerd culture and his favorite book

b-but i loved eragon

Was this written years ago, when nerd porn wasn't a thing?

>he's black and gay so I didn't read his book but I'll talk shit anyway

Hmm
