Romance novels

So I was at the thrift store and I noticed these shelves of books. I guess they're a huge series of romance novels? Are they any good at all, or are they just pap?

>all of that wasted paper

1/2 of the rainforest right there tbqhfamfpbp

really, fucker? do you even understand how big a rainforest is? That's not even a tenth of one.

romance novels are redpilled af, so much politically incorrect stuff going on in those, seems like every one is about being sexually harassed by your boss, or forced to have a baby for a rich guy, etc. lots of titties getting twisted, and a surprised amount of dry vages getting ravaged, i always thought chicks preferred foreplay but ramming it in dry seems to be a common event in those, i'm sure if men enjoyed them feminists would no doubt try to get them banned

Whoa. They sound awesome actually

is it a eleventh?

The absolute state of women

romance novels, in general, are trash. there are probably some good ones out there, but i have yet to read one. the cover art is usually good for a laugh (pic related), it's basically always some chick in a long silk dress swooning over some swole shirtless dude with a waxed chest, even though in the story, he's like a fucking accountant or whatever and has no business being that ripped. i won't lie, i've bought a few of these because i thought the covers were funny, then read them because i spent the money on it. they're really formulaic, once you've read one you've read them all.
>we're introduced to our female protagonist, a womyn living in a man's world. she is very special and NOT LIKE THE OTHER GIRLS XD
>enter love interest. he's a prick. she hates him immediately
>but wait. some shit happens, he comes to her rescue or maybe they're forced to spend time together because of circumstances idk. her feelings for him start to change
>they fight their sexual tension but alas, it is for naught. the plot will not allow them to not fuck
>they fuck
>it's poorly written and only lasts like 2 pages. the word "member" is almost definitely used to describe his penis
>drama threatens their relationship
>they end up together anyway
>fin
if you're just reading it for the erotica, don't bother. you can read fanfiction for free

>i've bought a few of these because i thought the covers were funny
right

i got sick of feminist women making fun of "male fantasies" as if women don't have "female fantasies" so i bought a bunch to see what kind of retarded shit women masturbate to

well i certainly didn't buy them for the intriguing plot, excellent characterization, and masterfully written sex scenes

>not called fregg.jpg
come on, son

>romance
doubt it. My guess is that they're a heftroman (dime novels, but still actually dime novels) series. They're like a really long tv soap opera in book form. I see these still being sold in magazine shops and some of them have been running since the 50s. Some of them get ported to actual book form eventually.

they're written for women to be able to schlick to them. They're essentially porn, so they're trash, but they do have a lot of contrived reasons for sex to happen.

Although... I have heard some good things about some of them. I hate romance though, so I'll never know.

"When she saw that he was dissolved with pleasure, she stopped, divining that perhaps if she deprived him now he might make a gesture towards fulfillment. At first he made no motion. His sex was quivering, and he was tormented with desire… Marianne grew desperate. She pushed his hand away, took his sex into her mouth again, and with her two hands she encircled his sexual parts, caressed him and absorbed him until he came. He leaned over with gratitude, tenderness, and murmured, 'You are the first woman, the first woman, the first woman…'"

What are some good romance stories?

I'm a sucker for sappy romances, but a lot of them are poorly written.

spot on, i remember reading quite a few of these in boarding school when the girls would buy them and the guys would just steal them and read. i don't think i've ever seen the word shaft used so many times ever.

his sex. his manhood. his member. his rod. his cock.

Pride and Prejudice.

Outlander is long for a beefy fantasy story. You could call this one an Isekai story.

Georgette Heyer established the popularity of the historical romance novel, and by extension the Regency setting in the Romance novel world. Feel free to try her titles out from the library.
