I stand with Godwinson thank you very much

The Bible is a compilation of stories by different authors.

im reading the KJV

I enjoy reading the Bible, but I'm not sure it should be considered a "damn good book." For instance, Mark is written with terrible grammar in the original Greek (or Aramaic?). Also, Revelation was written in terrible broke Aramaic. So these books, at least at a prose and grammar level, aren't that impressive. But I also hear that Hebrews is some of the most beautiful Greek ever written according to scholars. So it's hard to judge the Bible as a whole, especially when you're reading a translation.

Is this a depiction of the authors?

It's a depiction of you for not knowing that Jesus wrote the bible

outrageous nonsense

au contraire mon ami

>Christfag delusions

>tfw David mourns for Absalom
>tfw Abraham tells Isaac, "God will provide himself a lamb"
>tfw Jesus tells Judas, "that thou doest, do quickly"
>tfw Jonah laments at Nineveh's salvation
>tfw we wept by the rivers of Babylon
>tfw the voice from the bush declares "I AM THAT I AM"
>tfw the Lord answers Job from the whirlwind
>tfw Nathan tells David, "thou art the man"
>tfw Saul sees a light on the road to Damascus
literally God-tier

Only American christians believe this

The Bible is just a really old fanfic.

The Bible is a compilation of a bunch of myths with the sole purpose of projecting a certain worldview and morals written by a bunch of upper class semi-Jew spiritual psuedo-intellects.

The Bible was a premodern shonen manga

That's Homer desu.

recommend me what jkv bible i should cop off audible, i'm like how do they not have a clearly good version of the biggest book of all time?

Old Testament is good. You get literary treasures like Job, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, etc. New Testament has its moments, but is nowhere near as good as what the Jews did.

I'd watch out for hell, man.

Don't forget
>And it was night.

When I was a kid I never understood why Jonah was unhappy with God saving Ninevah, but as an adult its much clearer. Really shows why Jesus insisted that "anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it".

go home, /pol/

>tfw when you realize even punctuation choices can be divinely inspired

Obvious bait guys, good lord.
