You ever read by candlelight? It's probably not good for my eyes but it's comfy as heck.

Books are flammable user, don't do that.
>reading on your Kindle by candlelight
Fuck yeah, OP
If it's winter, I sometimes snuggle up in comforters and sip cocoa with the heat off.
And read.
It should be perfectly safe unless you have Parkinson's disease. With a big candle you can keep it at a safe distance.
My eyes are getting bad enough as it is. Wasn't it common for monks to go blind because they regularly read by candlelight?
old wives tale, baby
So there's actually no real evidence that reading in dimmed lighting (what people refer to as "straining their eyes" or whatever) is actually bad for your eyesight (i.e., that it will speed up the deterioration of your sight), so keep on doing it if you enjoy it.
But yeah, it's really nice. I've got a fireplace in my apartment and in the winter on days too cold to bother going outside (I live in Canada, it can hit -40 here) I'll just cozy up by the fire and read.
Can't you just read with two candles beside you ? Clearly the light would be twice as bright.
that sounds comfy as fuck user, i wish i had a fireplace
the jews lied about those studies to make people who appreciate comfy lighting blind.. its all part of their plan
or maybe you're the jew, and you're pretending it's harmful to prevent me from getting comfy, huh?
Are there any books that can even approach the comfiness of The Hobbit? I'd like to hear about them.
Yes.
>reading Novalis poetry by candle light on a winter's night
comfy af desu
underrated
whenever I have some weed I like to listen to audiobooks of Lovecraft and other associated weird fiction authors, it's the comfiest thing

Can people actually read effectively while stoned?
depends how experienced you are i guess. it's definitely possible but i prefer audiobooks, it's easier and lets me just relax and enjoy that thick, thick, juicy atmosphere. i love to light some incense and candles, smoke a pipe and completely submerge myself in the story
poetry is also great to read while smoking, it's the only way i can truly appreciate it
I wish i lived in the woods.
Yes, but only because I was living in a hut without electricity.
what do you mean a hut? how did you end up like that?
dude weed lmao
dude "dude weed lmao" lmao
if anything candle light is far better for you, physiologically than that unnatural cold light which electric lamps emit. In fact, I think that the light from electric lamps disrupt normally healthy people into strange sleep cycles and such
thats comfy
dude..
it's not funny to autistically screech "dude weed lmao" every time someone says something about weed without even being obnoxious about it
please refrain from posting
Reading 420 is super imersive. I would highly recommend it ;)
I got too scared to ever try again after learning that it was basically what made John Milton blind
"By 1654, Milton had become totally blind; the cause of his blindness is debated but bilateral retinal detachment or glaucoma are most likely."
every source online seems to say that reading in dim light may strain the eyes temporarily but causes no permanent damage
this guy
I wish I was the woods so you could live inside me and be happy because seeing you happy to live inside me would make me happy and then we would both be happy together.
