while reading? I like Chopin's Nocturnes. Most anything else is too distracting. When not reading I keep it real.

amateur, I play vidya while reading

Legendary

Ill have to check them out, I do really like Johnny cash but the others I've never heard of

Only instrumentals, otherwise it fucks with my reading. Usually prog rock or funk. Really been digging The Samuel Jackson Five and My Brother the Wind lately.

digusting desu

I used to listen to random Bach or ambient (Eno, Basinski, etc.) or some mediocre electronic music from RA podcasts residentadvisor.net/podcast.aspx

but now I don't—listening to music while reading is unnecessary and should be considered harmful, unless you're reading worthless shit you shouldn't be reading anyway

Electronic music master race I see.

Reading extremely technical material to EDM is fucking BASED.

You checked out BT’s Untitled right?

And The Flashbulb has a really good one from last year.

So far this year... Balam Acab has a fucking SICK album out... that’s all I got so far.

i am for electronic music, but part of the reason i like popul vuh (lol i dont even know how to pronounce it) is that they decided to stop making electronic music after in the garden of the pharos. hosiana mantra is an amazing album for exactly the opposite reasons as their first. it reminds of ellul, somehow. but yeah - mostly i'm electronic.

I don't

I generally don't, save for the most unobtrusive ambient stuff occasionally if I really can't get something obnoxious out of my head or something. Certainly nothing with singing or percussion.

and nothing except white noise

Yeah, simple classical or ambient stuff.

I don't really have a set reading playlist. I just listen to whatever is on my playlist, so old rock (Queen, Dio, Mott the Hoople, etc), folk (mostly Bob Dylan and Bert Jansch), and some newer rap (no one in particular)
