have you never read a book before, or is it a fresh start thing?
goodreads.com
fresh start, I stopped reading a couple of years ago and want to get into it again
I never considered making a profile on that site, but sure, why not:

Half of your read books are comiks

Feel free to message me as well. Just got finished with a pretty interesting numismatic history of Bactria.
How's the Veeky Forums Goodreads group? Suprised that it has 900+ members.
None of the Veeky Forums groups are active to my knowledge
Trying to understand the point of this site
This big brain Chinaman is going to complete the system of German Idealism before us. Really enjoy reading his reviews, very thorough:

Feel free to try to revive them.

I mostly read phil but I read some other stuff too
Why did you leave most of your read books unrated?
>read (99)
>75 ratings
lad he has rated more than 3 fourths
>6 books read
>2 of them Hitchicker's Guide to the Galaxy
>Animal Farm and 1984
>A non-fiction book about a videogame
I think reddit would be more up to your speed, friend
>tfw you will never read as much as sebastian
I resumed reading after a long hiatus. I didn't read much before that too. I added some that I remember. Please no bully. I hope I will be as smart as you one day.
Stop reading shite then.
Every once in a while I feel like being more sociable on that site but I lose interest. You can add me if you want to inflate your number of friends.

WHERE ARE THE CUTE LIBRARY GIRLS
Did you really read 64 books in less than three months?
goodreads.com
just ignore all the dan brown
Literally read the same books you're criticising him for although i doubt you're sean anyway

I read and review a lot of indie horror, crime, and weird books. Add me if you're into that sort of thing.
What's the deal with that? Should we add them or no? Make an exception for more "literary" ones?
Personally I'd like to catalogue everything I've ever read, even those childhood Tracy West Pokemon books and Judy Blume novels. What do?
Ignore him. Do whatever you want with your profile.
To participate in a patriarchal system of validity determination? Add reviews and ratings so people can make informed choices as consumers?
I haven't made one yet, but have notepads with books I've read from different years, etc. If I threw in all the collected editions of comics it would probably inflate my books read by 600+. There was a time when I didn't technically have an address, so I couldn't get a library card, and I was unemployed. So I'd just read a lot of graphic novels because you could usually finish them in the library without borrowing them.
Disgusting
>get friend request from 'girl' after posting in one of these threads
>all her status updates involve feminist and african american studies type books
>and im not talking things like The Second Sex or the Autobiography of Malcolm X
>like ta-nehisi coates and buzzfeed writers who publish books-tier reading material
>smash that mf remove button and introspectively ponder the nature of this event
Why would you browse this board if that is exclusively your interest, r/books has popular posts about that kind of material all the time and seems like a much more suitable environment for it desu senpai.
We can always have one of these.

This one is mine, these Goodreads threads are always full of suprises
11 books? in 1 year? do you realize how little you're going to delve into literature in your whole life?
>he isn't a NEET spending all his time reading
He’s reading fiction, it doesn’t matter
I think you should
>He's not a NEET spending all his time programming
He's 11 books behind schedule, his aim is for 50 books (lol)
How do you do, fellows?

Shit taste
Read 50 shades of grey
I never realised how little I read until I saw this thread.
Agreed.
I'm fairly well read but philosophy had never been my thing. Would you recommend the Nicomachean Ethics to a newcomer or is there something easier i should pick?
Holy shit, I had to use hand sanitizer after looking at all the garbage you read. I seriously can't believe you even exist. There is little hope for humanity; we are truly doomed as a species if dipshits like you are out there walking around and breathing the air.

People on goodreads lie about the number of books they read, or add books they haven't finished or skipped parts of. Take goodreads profiles with a pinch of salt.
t. doesnt discuss books with his goodreads "friends" in private messages
nice taste buddy
Add me because I've never used this site for anything except ratings. I don't read as much as I should but it's still nice to maybe discuss stuff with people that I know actually have taste.
goodreads.com/user/show/47388002-fern-mackenzie
How the can you discern whether someone has taste or not when you only have read 45 books you turbo gigapseudotron?
knowledge that I am the only entity with agency in the universe and that all others are illusory entities that exist purely to interact and facilitate my intellectual, spiritual, and physical growth. Hence my perception of taste is the only one that matters.
Lel I just meant that I'm more inclined to trust someone from Veeky Forums instead of some random freak at the local bookstore.
Also I only got back into reading in 2015 and I have a lot of other activities going on in my life.
how does someone read this many books in so little time wdf
on seans rym too he has like 10000 entries or something and his letterboxd has a lot too. is he a neet?
never forget
>these are the people you post with
just kidding, i love you all
>you have reached your limit for daily friend requests
what the fuck
Add me guys, I have no friends that read. Just started getting into reading last year so please NO BULLY.
Why do you care so much? If he enjoys reading comics, so what?
