jesus christ what could this book possibly contain

written for plastic paddys in america no doubt at all

>Ireland
>Contributing to the fall of Rome
>Doing anything noteworthy without being part of the UK

Yes, monasteries in Ireland did a great job at preserving written works that went lost in many other places during the dark ages.

Saying they "saved civilization" is pushing it though.

Have it right here senpai

It's not that expensive either. I think I'm going to buy that off of amazon.

>How Real Is History

AYE WE WERE ROMANS AN SHITE LADDY

begorrah we was the saviors of civilization me laddie

>Mfw Irishfag
>mfw disgusted at how for such a proud and fierce warrior race we are, all of our songs are about muh oppression and how tight we got it

Can't have a drink in my pool bar on a sunday without Mickey, Flannagan and The Republican Supremes bunging up the Jukebox with songs about Michael and fucking Rose being killed by potato blight.

Also, the biggest mistake our kind make and are making is assuming that all oppressed peoples are our friends. It's retarded.

God, I love this country, it's beautiful and the history i great but it's inhabitants have become insufferable.

>mfw my surname started with high kings of Ireland
>mfw I literally WUZ KINGS AND SHITE

It's not bad, pretty boring unless you have a fetish for medieval Christianity. The title is hyperbolic but there's no doubt Ireland preserved a bunch of texts that were lost elsewhere, although afaik nothing that was not also preserved by the Byzantines.

>it's inhabitants have become insufferable.
They've always been insufferable. The only problem is everyone else is even more insufferable.

>confusing scottish and irish accents.
