>kurds are nothing but roaches to me

>Saddam never invaded Saudi Arabia, decimated Wahabism or turned pan-Arabism into a global force

What a missed opportunity

Saddam literally did nothing wrong, prove me wrong.
>inb4 muh TURDish genocide
western myth

I used to like Saddam, but then I found out the K*rd genocide never happened.

Iraqi here, he fucking ruined Iraq. I hate you /pol/ack cunts.

>pan-Arabism
>Under Saddam
Would have ended up as well as Yugoslavia post-Tito.

>Alsace-Lorraine is just a game to me
t. Adolf Bachmann

I used to hate the west, then I found out that Saddam did nothing wrong.
I'm a #scudmissle now

>tfw the west will never have another military victory in the Middle East ever again

...

Yeah, it was a gem before he showed up.

America had such a sweet aesthetic during he Gulf War.
muh choco chip

...

Dark, fat and useless?

Realest nigga

...

You could tell when guys got there. The first guys were all in woodland. The last to arrive were all in desert camo. Everyone else was a mish-mash of both.

Gone too soon ;_;

...

America should have taken down Saddam in 1991 when they said they would.

You're going to love the irony here.

The reason we didn't is because the Bush Senior cabinet was afraid of being bogged down by a protracted insurgency, and removing the major counter to Iranian influence in the region.

dem Sterlings

What would that have accomplished?

>Kuwait is just a governorate to me

about as much as doing it in 2003

>The reason we didn't is because the Bush Senior cabinet was afraid of being bogged down by a protracted insurgency, and removing the major counter to Iranian influence in the region.

It arguably wouldn't have led to consequences as bad as we have now. America would have won some good will among the Shi'a and Jihadism wouldn't have had as much time to develop. Iraq would have had a lot more time to get it's shit together before the rest of the Arab dictators inevitably decay, meaning something like IS wouldn't have happened.

>What would that have accomplished?
It would be long enough ago that people would have forgotten about it so I wouldn't have to listen to stupid hippies bitching about it. Also there wouldn't be all these muh oil muh petrodollars memes and the US would have a better justification and arguably even the moral high ground.

Of course he did
was anti-Israel
and wanted to start selling oil for euros instead of us dollars

>muh petrodollars

Read a book retard

>get out of here stalker

You're lucky. At least your dictator was Iraqi and not a foreign puppet.

Yeah because life is so nice with ISIS as your next door neighbour

I'd rather have a psycho next door than live in a psycho's house

Compared to the Saddam era and onwards, yeah.

I prefer the Iraq-Iran war desu.

It's like a mish-mash of WWI, Korea and the USSR's misadventures in Afghanistan.

>Inevitably

Wew. Most of them seem to do pretty fine until the CIA takes an interest in them.

The fact that Iraq is worse after Saddam's regime doesn't mean he didn't already destroy Iraq you fucking retard

I was born after the gulf war and don't know much about it!! Will any kind user tell me the story of Gulf war.

Now it's not so niceis

i feel bad for the people of iraq

>be living in middle east
>probably really fucking hot all the time
>have shitty dictator
>united states invades killing a fuck load of people
>but hey at least there's democracy
>democracy gets shitty and corrupt
>o-oh ok well at least things can't get any wor-
>isis starts a shitstorm

well there's always the YPG

شيعي ايراني حقير

woodland vest/mopp over chip bdu is the GOAT 80s-90s infantry fit imho

this

is swear the intellectual capacity of the average /pol/tard will always amaze me, these guys are actually fucking retarded

it was a victory because they didn't attack but help protect kuwait

you can't invade and pacify a muslim country

At what age is it appropriate to begin inspectin' them hairs,

The gulf war always looked weird as fuck to me

all that sand and burning oil everywhere made it look like it was happening on another fucking planet

...

It looks cool as hell. I remember seeing Jarhead and loving those burning sky scenes.

How much did they wear the PASGT flak vest?

Muh gameboy

>I miss the hustle of the Baghdad days
It weren’t a shit hole in the late ’80s

KURD DETECTED

It was surreal. High noon and you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. Got home and a year later my doctor told me to stop smoking. I don't smoke.

>Most of them seem to do pretty fine until the CIA takes an interest in them.
The CIA have always had an interest in them. They decay for other reasons. Extreme nepotism and corruption lead to shitty governments who can't handle the slightest change in the status quo so they implode.

>YPG
>Iraq

Iraq was definitely on its way to Westernization before Saddam showed up

W-what ?

were you a soldier there ?

Yup. Marine though; Army are soldiers.

There's a Herzog film about that visual that's pretty interesting, Lessons of Darkness

yea I've seen it , only found shit tier torrents though

looked like you were in hell

I heard that in the navy they used to blast pretty aggressive music to put the guys on a more aggresive morale

Fuckers were stuck floating for six months. Had to do something.

yeah unfortunately i don't think the hd rips are on public trackers

...

...

>marine, not a soldier
Haha OK pal

Not him. Marines are obviously soldiers by the usual definition, But in the US military, members of the Marine Corps are called "Marines", Army guys are called "Soldiers", Air Force are called "Airmen". It's just part of the culture.

...

I also enjoyed The Fist of God
