Veeky Forums universities

Can we get an Veeky Forums college thread going? I've narrowed my decisions down to Carnegie Mellon, Tufts, and USC. Who's the most Veeky Forums, best social life?

USC will probably be least Veeky Forums (mostly prepcore rich kids), but have best social life.

CMU seems like a school with a bunch of autists

Why are all USC kids retarded?

Damn I'm jealous, USC was my dream school. Had to settle for Tulane in New Orleans.

Can confirm. I had a fuckbuddy from there who told me there would be actual fedora-tipping at her. I didn't believe it until she showed a video.

All three are great, congrats!

How effay is GT and UGA?

GT is awful, a bunch of indians trying into prep core

Tech Senior here, neither are fashionable in the slightest; with the former, you are at least within earshot of some interesting places in town such as Midtown (which is outstandingly gay) and L5P or Reynoldstown. UGA has an excellent music scene but those who are "fashionable" dress like Judie Funnie from Doug and listen to E6 bands exclusively. Athens is a pretty tangibly downtrodden place two blocks in any direction outside of downtown, and is overrun, OVERRUN with dudebros with the self-awareness of a blanket

lol ya

I was rejected from Vanderbilt, lucky

Journalism major

not the most Veeky Forums school but I love it here

Sheffield, the good one.
Kinda boring desu.

Anyone get into NYU?

Why do Americans use university and college interchangeably

Because once college started sounding less prestigious, they switched to University.

Although there is a subtle difference. Universities offer graduate work. Colleges are just 4 year BA schools. But all Unis have 4 year BA schools so its ok to interchange since most people that attend college go to a university. You just cant use university when you refer to community colleges or other stuff which are bottom of the barrel schools. So to differentiate yourself from the dirt, you say you go to uni.

Yep. Sjw university, literally shut down the campus for a bernie rally a few days ago

Anyone /UofM/ here? I start this fall, AA seems decently effay.

University of Melbourne? If so yeah jaffy here checking in.

Nope, Michigan. Sorry Ausfags...

another uom jaffy reporting in. what course ya doing?

Anyone get into Dartmouth? I was waitlisted there

What are some effay universities in scandinavia? Apparently they're all free. And that's great since I'm an eastern european poorfag.

I'm transferring in the fall. AA seems tryhard but they have nice clothing shops.

cbs if you can get in

Yeah i read a lot about that one
Is it super tough to get in?

how's mcgill? thinking of doing neuroscience there...

is neuroscience Veeky Forums?

is mcgill?

You're not taking about his are you?

There must be somebody else from here...

Interested to see how many people go here.

Ann Arbor, home of Michigan's flagship campus

Can a new Jersey kid have a good social life at Ohio university or Penn state?

I almost went CMU but didn't because of the cost. But yeah when I visited it strongly gave of that autist vibe. USC sounds like the best choice of those schools.

i've heard that mcgill is the dude weed lmao school of canada

OU is 100% party school, if that's your idea of a social life.

Will the degree be worth anything?

U got the vid?

Is college anything like the @StateSnaps Twitter account?

what

how the fuck did you get in

Not effay at all. Its nice tho

Arts majoring in economics. And yourself?

Yeah but couldn't afford it. Going to Fordham on a much more generous scholarship instead.

Interviewed at their med school but didn't get in. No amount of lidocaine can numb this pain.

>going to a state school and paying out of state tuition
Why not go to a private school man? The mid level ones are often more affordable than out of state tuition at good schools.

Don't wanna live with parents if I go into why it would be a whole new thread but basically I'm super sheltered and have no friends and don't leave my house because I can't stay out past 7

Don't know shit about USC

CMU
>full of gooks
>extremely uneffay
>you'll be popular if you like magic the gathering and video games

Tufts
>gorgeous campus
>people either dress prep or in sweatpants

Waterloo reporting in.

NYU doesn't have a campus, sperg. They didn't shut down shit - we had to navigate the herds of unwashed masses to get to class

That's uvic

is pace Veeky Forums ?

Any UVA students ?

Yes. Very preppy.

nope

10 AP exams at the end of my junior year, mostly 5 scores. High ACT and subject test scores. Bullshitted being president of a bunch of clubs and some volunteering , of course almost perfect grades

someone said about uwe in the last thread
I know it's shit but Bristol's an okay city.

>anything but oxbridge

love bristol, brighton and leeds are sick to

any clemson here?

I go to McGill. It's Montreal, so yeah, everybody dresses better than you.

I got accepted with subpar grades (3.7) and gpa (29). Not really sure why

Holy shit I'm a retard. Act 29, gpa 3.7

> so yeah, everybody dresses better than you.

what, even you?

Probably, yeah, considering that you are a (prospective) science student.

for real though, can you elaborate on how students there dress? and in montreal in general? is it really that good?

also i'm not really with the science autist students, im getting my law degree soon and then think about going to neuro.

You'll see a lot of people that you'll instinctively want to ask if they browse this board. There's a disproportionate amount of good looking people here. Nobody wears sweatpants to school or any of that bullshit.

Why the fuck would you go back to school with a law degree? Can't find anywhere to article?

> Why the fuck would you go back to school with a law degree?

because I can. still too young and have guaranteed financial stability.

interesting. googling MCGILL STUDENTS only gives me autists.

what do you study?

Which liberal arts colleges have the coolest people/best scene? I've heard about Occidental, Amherst, Reed, etc.

Just been ranked 12th in some student choice awards thing, whatever the fuck that means lol

pfft mate that means nowt my ex is at harper adams which got number one its like a fucking uni for farmers

Law.

You're probably just getting stock pics.

Go Tribe >:)

Just got in today, I probably won't go due to price and heat

same, what school/major you planning?

anyone here go to any of these schools? I'm going on exchange and can pick any of these for North-America:
Simon Fraser University, Vancouver
Université de Montréal
Université du Québec à Montréal
University of New Brunswick
University of Ottawa
California State University, Fresno
Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pennsylvania
Oglethorpe University, Atlanta
University of Central Arkansas, Conway
University of New Hampshire, Durham
University of Wisconsin, Green Bay
University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho
University of Louisville
Texas Tech University, Lubbock

Hong Kong:

there's more schools in europe and a few in africa as well but cba to copy them right now

holy fuck I just realised how fucking huge the list is. t

Rose Hill and I'm leaning towards bio but nothing is set in stone freshman year anyways. I've heard that the atmosphere on the LC campus isn't too friendly so I decided the trade of of a better campus was worth being in the Bronx.
Are you the guy that keeps posting Occidental/Reed? Just choose man. Occ is a better ranked school but Portland is a much nicer city than LA is so whatever

Between this and UVM ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
(also BC and Fordham but jesuits are cucks and it's double the cost so no?)

yeah CAS. 2020?

Program and year?
Going into 1st year

I got into Emory too, and after the whole trump chalk thing, and after doing research at the school, I declined admission. The school is really liberal and students are stuck up, i don't want to deal with that for 4 years. and its in atlanta too

I got into UVA also, I'm not going because i got into better schools, but UVA over Emory

no lol

> Portland is a much nicer city than LA
are you fucked in head??

Vassar reporting in. Where my 7 sisters at?

is it nice

Have you ever been to either? LA is dirty, expensive, dry, and has all of the negatives of living in a city without the positive benefits. You shouldn't need a car to live comfortably in a large city.

>tfw got rejected
I-I always have the chance of transferring right?

Yo what year

Based uba

what are the European ones?
I might be able to give you some insights on them

You're black/hispanic

don't go to fucking
>University of New Brunswick
>California State University, Fresno
>University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba
>Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pennsylvania
>University of Central Arkansas, Conway
>University of Louisville
>University of Nevada, Reno

literal whos. you will go to these places and want to kill yourself because there is nothing to do. texas tech and new hampshire are borderline.

i would either pick hong kong or montreal. sydney a suitable 3rd. only good cities on that list desu.

Yeah those didn't really seem appealing to me either. Apart from maybe CSU Fresno as I'd really like to live in California in my life. But L.A. is more my idea.

The ones personally that stand out in terms of cities are Madrid, Berlin, Barcelona, Firenze, Lisbon, Porto, Montréal, Sydney, Melbourne, Hong-Kong and Moscow. But I have no clue about the schools themselves, and from that list I've only been to Lisbon and Berlin, both cities I love.

>You'll see a lot of people that you'll instinctively want to ask if they browse this board
THIS. i've never been able to express this idea in words, but there it is.

go to mcgill.
neuro is really good at mcgill (as is most medicine)
and montreal is fantastic. the girls are hot and loose, the people are chill, rent is cheap, food is cheap and you can drink and smoke in public with little to no problem
just make sure to spend a summer there. because the winter can be kinda lame, but the summer makes up for it.

>believing memes
but no thats definitely UBC

It is

rice fags too busy studying to browse Veeky Forums
