The way it's said in the picture, talking about souls and all, I think it's more asking for a reconsideration of how robots are being thought off than it is asking for enslavement for human beings. Especially in music, there's a very special relationship between the musician and the instrument, whatever kind of machine it is. I think it transcends the slave/master dichotomy. The instrument teaches you something about yourself.

I would agree that, in our current system, augmentations would definitely be either way out of reach for most people, or there would be cheaper versions with some kind of trick to make you pay for a drug that prevents your body from rejecting it or something like that (yes i took that example directly from deus ex).

That blog, if it's yours, would benefit from looking a bit deeper into some of the things it touches on, such as the idea that the body is a machine (which dates back at least to Descartes, maybe even before I don't know), and it did have terrible consequences on the way we practiced medicine for years. But there's something to desire in freeing ourselves from a lot of aspects of the human condition. The illuminati stuff is pushing it though.

but we are machines. your point of view supports a notion of the human consciousness detached from the physical realities that shape it, realities such as genetics, environment and experiences, the brain, gut bacteria, etc. every single one of our actions is the sum of the as-of-now incomprehensibly complex interactions at the basest levels of physical existence.
i would argue that dehumanization on a mass scale and a relinquishing of a belief in free will move society toward an erosion of the drives that allow what can be called 'evil'. if we come to understand what it truly means to be alive and conscious, it will be an enabler of empathy and a future like what you're purporting is still possible but a lot less likely.

also, if we're at a point where we're able to broach into the possibility of immortality and we're still using "the common man" for labor, that's fuckin sad. but with the question of if not humans comes the question of is it ethical to instead use machines that have all the capabilities of a human but aren't programmed for things like suffering.
