Is your job Veeky Forums?

Is your job Veeky Forums?
Does it provide you enough money to buy sick fits?
>assistant to a talent agent in Hollywood
>no to both

I make glasses it's tiiiiiiiiiight

I can't really dress effay

Make me some sikk frames brah.

I'm a server for a contemporary art hotel's restaurant. Despite the company being cool my job is shite.

Wageslave retail, but it's in an upscale "fashion park" with stores like Saks, Coach, BCBG, Brooks Brothers, Tiffany's, etc. Good money to buy nicer dadcore fits. Probably the most effay place within a 50 mile radius.

at university, working at an independent bookshop this summer which should be fine

the other retail jobs i had in my teens were all pretty chill and pleasant so i'm hoping to continue the streak, i've never really had a job i hated

Making a pretty decent salary in the world of politics, but no sense of style so look like shit anyway
>just visiting this board

I'm a psychiatrist specialized on murder. Pretty fa in the way absolute most people avoid me when they find out because they assume I am a sick fuck.
They're not completely wrong.

How did you get into it? Tbh I can't imagine anyone wanting to specialise in something like that unless they are a sick fuck

In uni, summer job as a janitor/school mover. Pay is unreal and when I go to elementary schools its basically good will hunting. But not too effay

Did an internship out of morbid curiousity while I was still in med school and realized I had a certain talent for getting murderers to talk to me while I was shit at mostly anything else.
We are all slightly narcissistic so I chose to do something I was good at to feel better about myself.

I'm an EMT while I study for MCAT. How Veeky Forums am I?

Studying engineering.

My student job is to drive lease cars from a to b. Often have to drive Audi's, BMW, Lexus etc.
One of the requirements is that you look Veeky Forums.

So it's Veeky Forums and it pays good. After the degree I don't expect my new jobs will give different answers

What do you do in politics?

Knowing your English cut from your Italian cut is probably a good thing to know if you wear a suit to work user.

That's fucking awesome. Sounds super interesting and you must make good cash. I'm considering getting a PhD or PsyD and becoming a shrink...any tips/advice?

As a professor once said to my class, "You can't be a psychologist unless you are fucked up"

I tie knots in ropes and climb and abseil around oil rigs sky scrapers bridges and cliffs fixing things.
I love my job. Its rough and lively. Great money but I dress in bright orange gear. I wear filson jackets and Pendleton shirts and palladium boots when I am not on a rig

I'm a computer hacker, which I guess is why I spent time on 4chins.

I have plenty of money. Made close to 200k last year and slacked off most of it.

That sounds pretty cool, my dude. How'd you manage to land that?

Are you an UberBlack driver?

Studying electrical engineering. Not very Veeky Forums but can make money for sure and it's pretty fun.

nurse
money is good but it's not Veeky Forums at all

I work in food processing
its not fashionable and it doesn't pay

but at least now I know to never ever eat peas no matter what

I knew a guy in high school who worked at a water treatment facility he said he'd never drink tap water again after seeing the sludge that ends up getting processed

you fucking jew, its so obvious youre trying to trick goyims into drinking bottled water

Commission based salesman alpha male. It's great because I don't have to be customer service minded, if a faggot doesn't show interest my product, I can tell them to fuck off and if I get removed from the retail location because of it, there's plenty more who want the company's top seller.

Also if I need more money I just sell harder, if I'm hungover I can kick it, let one of the tier-two Pakis sweat it out, and I'll still end up with top sales on the board. Even my manager is a university grad cuck, he does what my high school dropout ass tells him to. I could manage but that's too much like an actual job for my liking.

No matter how the job market changes, dominant aggressive Alphas will always come out on top. Only the strong survive.

you'll think about this marketing ploy until the day you die

What's up with peas senpai

Peas?

im pretty sure there's frequent qc to ensure that everything is within fda guidelines for food processors

lol

>i make 10% for myself and 90% for my boss

keep telling yourself that you're alpha

these things are either approved or not necessarily "recognized" by the FDA
if that makes sense
which it doesnt

Actually I might have the most Veeky Forums related job here. Even though my Mandarin is shit I am tasked with helping out our supply chain management fulfill their order of clothing from Chinese manufacturers.

you're on an anonymous board nobody can identify you, man
honestly if the fda thought something was dangerous they'd test for it

Lifeguard being bored watching people do whatever then teaching shitty kids for a few hours. Pay is great as a uni student. Also bartend in a resturaunt here and there for extra money.
Is it fa? Nah.
Can I make sikk cops from it? Hell yeah

Blue-chip social media marketer here. Do social media advertising for some big international clients.

Dress code is pretty laid back. No goofninja shit but I wear Geos to work most days unless I'm meeting with clients.

Pay is more than you would think.

its kind of a big deal bud
and we all know Veeky Forums isn't truly anonymous

Published author with a trust fund to boot.

Writing is isolating and hard but the image is very fashionable.

I can afford to dress well but it's a slow process to learn because joy parents are huge dorks who didn't know squat about style to guide me as a child.

You sound like you are over compensating. Perhaps you should think about being a kinder and happier person rather than obsessed with money and being alpha.

I'm just out of school. Going to try and get a funded MFA, maybe PhD. Teach poetry, write books. Not the most practical but I enjoy teaching and mentoring poets. Right now I work at a deli, not the most Veeky Forums place, but my boss likes fashion so that's cool. I can afford to work 3 days a week so I am planning, reading and writing a lot.

I work for a race car fabrication and setup shop, mostly as the office guy but I get my hands dirty from time to time.

The job itself is very un-Veeky Forums, but it pays decently well.

I french polish antiques. Pays alot

Im a merchant mariner. 3 months out at sea, 3 months home. The pay is great and i have a lot of free time. Not sure if Veeky Forums tho.

>greedybusinessman.jpg

Busser.

Kill me.

Anyone Silicon Valley? Btw does anyone know what Bateman does for a living?

I'm an insurance broker.
It's not that Veeky Forums of a job, but I'm either working from home and wearing whatever I want, or wearing some nice suiting so I guess that's fine
I also make my own schedule which is quite awesome and liberating

I misread this and imagined a dude making out with an old table from Poland.

Nice, I'm starting electrical engineering this fall

I work at a news wire media agency. Pays meh, lots of Veeky Forums people but i'm not one of them.

I work in filing at a university library
>no
>fuck no

Depends on what country you live in. Being a shrink in Germany is the high life. In the US not so much as far as I have heard.
Personally I can recommend it. Especially since there are so many areas you can cover. If you realize depressed people aren't for you, you can instead spezialize on drug abusers/schizos/rich burned out people/ anorexics/forensics/jail etc.
You can always find a niche that fits you.

I work in a machine shop at $21/hr and weld on the weekends for a lot more.

i work at usps it fucking blows but at least i don't have to talk or interact with customers and can work by myself

pay is decent overtime pay is great
bought a lot of clothes now im saving up to move out

landscape labor worker until my music shit takes off which i think it will in less than 2 years

Brain surgeron here, the pay's nice i guess

This pic is depressing me. Time to quit I guess.

I study law and work part time in a Path Lab, I can't dress very /fa whilst I'm here but it gives me enough money to buy whatever I want. Hopefully I can get a job / internship in law soon-ish

Lawyer in dc

I work in a chinese restaurant. It opened 6 months ago but we get very little customers so idk how much longer it will last.
I wear a black button up and black slacks but idk if you could call that Veeky Forums
I only make 5 an hour and tips are supposed to pay for the rest of my wage but since we have no customers I'm making under minimum wage

id find another job, i work at a laundromat for 10 an hour for 4 hours a day, pretty easy money for a part time job

>5 an hour

holy shit. get a different job

I work part-time as a Barista for a big coffee chain in the UK. Make about £7.80 and hour so could be worse, work about 16-20 hours a week as I'm a student

Being student while doing a bit IT-support in an insurance. Worked in a white collar job(not IT) at an insurance before becoming a student(such is life in Germany, you don't need to go to University right away to make any amount of decent money), back then I had the money to be Veeky Forums, not anymore.

im a somewhat effay aspie, and wow its hard to find a job because everyone thinks im mean or just stupid. its pretty anoying.

what are good jobs for aspies (i dont want to be on SSI)

>laundromat that pays 10 an hour
Holy fuck where do you live

When I find another job open I'll quit this one. The job market where I live is shit now though. Thanks Boomers

Commissions based sales at a higher end retail store. I'm still a student so for what it is, the pay is pretty great considering I don't really have to pay for much.

Town Planner

Uhh, it's interesting but not really Veeky Forums unless you think dictating what colour people can have their roof/doors and windows is Veeky Forums - though if you read into how public space is used to influence and change the public's mode of thinking en mass, that's pretty jazzy

I buy things in waves (pool table then camera, clothes, car, etc.) and don't struggle, so yeah I suppose

Is managing investments for rich trust fund kids Veeky Forums?

>college student
>$20/hr summer intern

I pretty much wear brooks brothers and j crew to work. Other than that I just have basic fits

waiter here

i make between $25-$40 depending on the foot traffic, work 5-6 hour shifts so have plenty of time in the day to do other shit like read or exercise

probably best job i've ever had, better even than when i was a personal buyer for allsaints

$25-$40/hour***

that looks good
w2c?

Chuys Mexican restaurant. Fajita plate

Working a shit line cook job right now, but my goal is to be programming mobile hydraulic equipment. Will probably pay >$100k/yr, and I will be dressed in only the finest of manlet (Japanese) workwear.

I'm a merchandiser/vendor for 7up.
I have a uniform but only wear it at the one store that bitches about it, once I leave there I just wear shitty band tees, black slim dickies, and steel-toe boots bc pallets with hundred of pounds of pop running over my foot doesn't sound like a good time.
I get decent pay for a kid in his early 20s, like 15/hr, but i get like 60 hours a week, so i get like 6-800 paychecks every week. However, the main reason I stay is the managers just generally don't give a shit about me. I'm supposed to be an hour from home at 6am but instead I wake up and clock in at 6, go back to sleep for an hour, and then leave and get to my first store 2 hours after I'm supposed to have started. I generally chill out in my car for half an hour to an hour in-between stores and play guitar and/or lurk on Veeky Forums or watch youtube videos. If I weren't so lazy and appreciative about how much bs I get away with, I'd leave and find something else, but I'm fine with where I'm at right now. Only real complaint is it kinda sucks that I don't really get weekends, but whatever my man

>tfw worked everyday for the last month
Oh well the £4000+ pay will be worth it.

i work on the camera crew at a local newstation
not really Veeky Forums job
ok pay but not much disposable income to spend on expensive shit.
no one cares how you dress because you're behind the camera and not in front of it.

dishwasher here, i'd be glad to help you with that

What? 25-40$ per hour how?

Architect here. Idk if it's effay. You tell me.

Janitor/dishwasher.

At least the pay is decent.

Delivery driver. I start at 6am and finish at 1pm and have the rest of my day to myself. That's the only good part of my job.
I want to kill myself

Psychology student here. Probably not my goal expertise.

Maybe research into psychedelics as treatment (Prof. Nutt, he be blessed).

What do you think about social / cross-cultural / developmental psychology ? Why does everybody hate on social psychology?

I work at McDonalds. What do I win?

Yes, good goyim, drink tap water, the the flouride is really good for your teeth

Student working as a parttime software developer on minimum wage.
Currently saving money for a car, so no sick fits for a while.

That's a great keyboard user. W2c?

Not quite sure. Saved it off /g/ 3 years ago. Probably a Filco Majestouch with custom keys.

NEET right now, have taught abroad, worked at a museum, random stuff. Gonna go back abroad for a masters then either look for related jobs or go to law school and work with my family after.

I afford clothing because my family is nice. Pretty Veeky Forums given nothing had a dress code, Thom Browne all day.

tips, man. i only make minimum wage hourly but on weekends and friday nights i can walk with ~$350 in my pocket. typical nights are about $125-$200 in tips, plus $40 or whatever in hourly. tips are untaxed too.

The only problem is that you're not making enough hours. Nobody in the restaurant business can actually make 25-40 per hour for 80 hours; if so then there'd be a line out the door for people trying to get on staff
Plus there's the issue of job security and growth, of which there is none in that line of work

Sympathy and pity?

>mfw
>trilingual minority
>senior at one of the top engineering programs in the United States
>3.69 GPA and exceeding the suma cum lauda requirements
>years of volunteering leadership
>co-founder of an on-campus club and active participant in other clubs such as welding
>applied to a dozen engineering internships
>haven't gotten anything

Engineering sounds good on paper but getting in / staying in seems to be quite difficult
A friend of mine left his job at TI to go to nursing school cuz he knew it was a guaranteed paycheck and that there's no competition / uncertainty
No one-year contracts, random drug screens, nerve wrecking performs reviews, no boxing up company and shipping it to China. Good luck man

>merchant mariner
can you go into more detail about this?
what's the work like? is the pay good enough to live well in your time off? did you have to commit to a certain years in service?

Super effay. Sikk cyberpunk fits?

private tutor. work 6-8 hours a week, charge $50/hr cash in hand. pretty effay

I get sick cops here and there, mostly thrift. try not to go too crazy because there's always the chance clients cancel, etc. I've heard tales of tutors making $150/hr or more in places like NYC. That'd be the life for me.

It's fun to dress like an academic though while I pretend to be working on stuff to publish for PhD applications though.

I do labour work so I can afford to buy nice boots then fucking ruin them

It looks good though

>mentoring poets

you're fresh out of undergrad. are you even published in any journals? and i don't mean your friend's local zine

who are you in a position to mentor?

factory line where you do one task over and over for 8 hours

Freelance tech for lights and sound in theatre. It makes enough to pay the bills. I'm working for my masters in set/lighting/costume design though.
If all else fails, my experience with drafting and carpentry makes me consider either architecture or honestly just building/restoring furniture.
