Again, if you have to ask at all, it's probably not for you. In honestly what you're paying for here is an artisan paper bag. While it is at its core a paper bag, the same shock you might feel is the same shock that others might feel when they see the pricetag on an expensive shoe. Designer paper bags are probably made for the person that doesn't have to think "500$ for a paper bag!?" You're not paying for the designer, but the design itself; albeit in essence a mere paper bag.

In't that what art is though? Think about, say, a Warhol picture or art piece. The materials, time, and effort to produce his works obviously doesn't amount to millions, but the worth is determined by the demand of his followers. I suppose if there was a willing audience (like there clearly would be with this bag to an extent) then your 4k Juice box isn't unjustifiable. I hate to revert to the age old "its worth what people will pay" but that kind of rings true here. People that don't really comprehend the art try to attack it. Why is a DaVinci worth millions but you think Basquiat belongs in the trash? Does all art, studio and fashion have to be easily consumable? I think the things that challenge us are the best forms of art, so while I can't afford a 500$ Jil Sander lunchbag, I can def appreciate the art, and to me that paper lunchbag is going to do more than any Chanel or Louis Vuitton bag ever could.

comparing the pricing drawings and fashion pieces usually doesn't do justice to the argument, mainly because the absolute majority of drawings are 1:1 in existance
also the highest paid lots are normally from deceased artists, so their work in total is limited in existance. can't really be said about this bag or almost any fashion item
