Disgusting

I have a boner for LA

People mockingly call it "The Pitts" for a fucking reason you shit-accenting Amish fuckwit.

My city isn't aesthetic really but my friend took this photo and it made me realize how cozy it is

The only truly /aesthetic/ city is in Europe.
Despite its weird/slightly fucked up skyline, it's pretty magnificent from street level.
The old parts of central London are like the best bits of Paris, the Canary Wharf is like our tiny piece of Manhattan, southeast London has the roughness and ugliness of Berlin. It has everything.

If only there wasn't all of the weed in Amsterdam or you had to have citizenship to smoke it. Dutch reclaimed land aesthetics > pea soup

LEWISHAM MCDEEZ

Is this St. Paul?

>not Bruges, Belgium

this is honestly the correct answer because LA is superficial as fuck and aesthetics are a priority

>all the gay cities in this thread
>not communist dystopia core Norilsk

...

>Retards dont know about the GOATness of Pittsburgh

>mudslime mayor

yeah no.
/pol/ is always right and London will not look so Veeky Forums in the future if we don't stop the brown nigger hordes.

>london

If you are a shit skin or sand nigger maybe

I like budapest
Comfy
That simetry is cool as fuck

London, obviously.

whats that one city disney bought?

whats that one city google bought?

>unironically liking American cities built on consumerism with disgusting cheap new architecture

Kys. All of you. I bet you faggots claiming "LA is the most effay city!!XD" haven't even left the US.

Super comfy, comfy towns are my fetish, wheres that?

No LA is a commuter city with a patchy skyline

Japan

You don't have to have citizenship to smoke weed in Amsterdam. Source: was there last friday.

Amsterdam is like a safe and cozy Berlin. It is pretty Veeky Forums for its size (800,000 inhabitants) but it is no match for cities like London or Berlin.

I meant what's the name of the town

412 Reppin

Ottawa / Montreal

Rotterdam is way more Veeky Forums than Amsterdam

kek, kys

It's got some modern architecture and some rougher people yeah. But mostly it's filled with lower class people and immigrants. R'dam is getting better but it's in no way more Veeky Forums then a'dam

Tacompton here

There is nothing aesthetic about Oly

Any love for DC? It has no skyscrapers so it looks a lot like a big European city tbqh

pretty Veeky Forums imo

What about Boston? Starting uni there in the fall :)))

Any answer other than Tromso, Norway is a joke

>You will never live in a true metropolis

...

There are several metropolises in America though, New York, Chicago, Bay Area, Los Angeles, Miami, probably a few more I am forgetting about

Tokyo has gone to trash too senpai

correct answer

this. effay cities are walking or train-based cities

>tfw Tokyo, the largest city in the world, is still more affordable than London
Breaks my heart 2bh

Damn it reminds me Kaunas, Lithuania where I live

Hhaha no

This looks like hamlet, not city

Liar. Lithuanians all live in England.

Pittsburgh is a great city to achieve the Workwear/Heritage style

Pittsburgh has degraded into a bunch of shit tier sports culture imo. People wearing Pj's and jerseys for whatever occasion

True, but the architecture and such is enough to help achieve that aesthetic. Plus ya gotta have at least someone keeping it alive.

cardiff imo

Tacoma is actually trash

Wow top pleb can't even appreciate the aroma of tacoma.

I was born in oly but raised and currently in Seattle
Seattle is effay as fuck

I live in Boston right now

I've wanted to move to the Northwest, I was specifically looking at Tacoma.

I lived there for a year for an internship after I graduated NYU, DC is really bad. Like awful. There's no real downtown or anything, just a bunch of government buildings. I don't remember anything redeeming about it besides a co-worker who had a boat on the Potomac that we'd always go out on. I hated the architecture there. I guess Georgetown is kinda nice, but all the apartments are expensive as fuck and super tiny. Almost any other major American city is ten times better

holy fuck op im from pittsburgh
sup

Helsinki

Looks like shitty postmodern architecture you could find in hundreds of mid and small sized American cities

>not based camden

Who /chicago/ here?
Birthplace of modernist architecture. The city is *mostly* beautiful.

tfw this view every day every season on way to school

Malmö

DC needs skyscrapers
In the tom clancy endwar game thats supossed to be like the near-ish future they put skyscrapers in surrounding the national mall and it looks good

Spokane WA

Did you purposefully misspell symmetry or is English just a secondary language for you?

Visited Salzburg for a day last summer and was not only struck by the beautifully pure and minimal architecture—and the sound of music there, notably Beethovens moonlight sonata performed by a plump and radiantly smiling man playing crystal glasses—but also how fucking refined and well dressed every person I saw was. It was like walking around in a physicalized Mozart piece—if only because he was born there.

Beacon Hill, Back Bay, and parts of the South End are the aesthetic as fuck. Boston is the most European-looking city in the US.

He's probably American, so the latter.

I'm moving there really soon. What's it like?
I'm moving from near portland/vancouver

It may look nice, but there are a lot f drawbacks to living in old buildings like that. I've lived in mostly 100 plus yr old rowhouses in Chicago and they really aren't that nice. I finally moved into a modern little rowhouse with all the appropriate safety features and built for extra space and modern conveniences.

its the shittiest shithole you will ever love :^)

And those buildings are not build with things like dishwashers and washer/dryer in mind. A building like that that is actually nice in that neighborhood would be millions of dollars because thay s what it would take to remodel an old place like that to modern expectations, you'd have to replace all the old knob wiring, totally tear down and replace everything

I don't think it could be much worse than this methhole I live in now

>methhole
nigga if i had a nickel for every meth smoking 10 year old orphan ive met in Spokane id have 8 nickels. If you dont want to be around meth, head east or south or southeast.

I don't mind them desu they're entertaining as hell.
It's just here its so small and condensed.

if you're into people-watching nothing tops the Spokane Transit Authority. If i had a nickel for every time i saw a meth-head inter-gender tag team match on the city bus id have 3 nickels and the groceries they forgot on the bus :^)

>mfw I could walk to Raccoon Park

Remember hanging around where they filmed some parts of The Road.

Also kind of cool that Raccoon City from the RE series is based on Pittsburgh.

Dana point is pretty sick

moving to austin this summer

it's a silly place but im into it

DP is snobby as fuck and not in a good way

san clemente is superior

eyy my hometown is Veeky Forums

Salzburg and Austria in general seems pretty cool to an outsider but it's actually really boring and the novelty of living in a fairytale wears out pretty quickly when you realise that it's just one massive tourist-oriented Disneyland with 0 depth.

Is a secondary language m8
Lel

Funny you mention this because I'm planning on moving to San Clemente from Upland in a year and a half. Didn't know DP was snob, thanks for the info

nice trips

I went to high school in south orange county but I lived in chino hills and diamond bar for a while. San Clemente is super nice make sure to hit up pizza port

Will do. Renting a room anywhere in SoCal is pretty cheap. The entire state is pretty aesthetic if you stop trying to lead a completely normal life.

Paris and its not even close. It has everything - the classic architecture, rich history, city centers, many landmarks, nightlife, shopping and is 'cosmopolitan'.

That is aside from the growth of sandniggers in Paris.

My second choice would be Prague. Looks comfy as fuck.

>TFW you will never live in Europe.
>TFW stuck in Australia.

How on earth is Berlin ef/fa/y? Because there's a bunch of saloon socialists walking around there in thrift store clothes?
Berlin is totally ruined in WW2, and from there on rebuild by communists. The city itself is uglier than the average German village, and is as superficial as the average American suburb. It can be by no means Veeky Forums

DC has its amazing parts (older architecture, some of the rowhomes) and its shitty parts (pretty much anything in Northeast/Southeast). I still love it to death though, mostly because it's such a mix of ethnic communities that you can pretty much find a place for anything you want to eat/do/see.

Also, like someone else mentioned in this thread, it has a pretty high cost barrier to entry. I spend a lot of money ensuring my own comfort (driving everywhere, having a bigger condo, etc.) that I couldn't even consider doing if I was a student or has a low-paying job.

Tokyo is great in pictures and absolutely hell to live in for a long period of time. "Nice" Tokyo - the middle of it, near Ginza and Harajuku and Akiba and shit - is awesome, no doubt. But "Real" Tokyo - where most people live - is kinda cramped and unfulfilling and awful.

My honest thought: I think Baltimore has a lot of promise if it actually tried. The oldschool architecture and history is great. Too bad for West Baltimore, I guess.

You have never been to Berlin, have you?
Its arts and music scenes make it the Veeky Forumsest city in Europe.

This, no parking either.

I had 2 cars in Japan a Toyota fun cargo, and a piece of shit skyline gts....I kept getting tickets for the skyline puking oil from the turbo

Vienna>Paris
I actually have been there twice. The first time was kind of a shock. I live close to the German border and am used to towns like Köln and Stuttgart.

Coming in Berlin was quite a shock. Broad streets, concrete appartment complexes everywhere, total lack of old architecture. I understand it from the war, but it felt just as sad as seeing todays' Rotterdam.

As for the art and music scene, this might be true, but the city as an object with buildings and such simply is not Veeky Forums.

My second trip was better though since we just went to Neuköln and Kreuzberg and did stupid pseudo-hipster stuff.

All the women are ugly in SoCal

Nobody admits it but the good looking women are few and far between

Both Vienna and Paris are disgusting cities for disgusting people, maybe you'd enjoy em if you didn't shower. Only people who haven't been there will say so.

Makes me wonder what you'll advise us.
Either Florence for free lung cancer or Prague/Budapest because you can't afford Vienna.

Vienna is one of the cleanest, most sterile cities I have ever been to lmao
Can't say the same about Paris tho

Vienna is fucking perfect and I'm glad it's rather expensive so all the Tumblerinas fuck off right to Budapest and Prague. Which are 'almost as good and way better than expected, yay'
