Are you washing it to often? To little? Are you using heat? Coloring it? Cowlicks? A lot can make your hair look different.
My best tips are no heat, comb ends to root (dry hair only), condition, do not rub hair in towel, wash at most every other day (goal 1-2 days each week), satin pillow case.
