If you want to look at other Veeky Forums movies take a look at anything Godard. His movies are both visually interesting and full of great clothing. Chungking is heavily influenced by the french new wave and even the shitty Wes Anderson pulls so many style choices from it. The french may be assholes but they know what looks good.

I'm not actually a pasolini fan, I haven't taken the time to understand his work - I'm a huge rohmer fan though. I just know he IS _officially_ cool, officially cooler than Godard, too. Harun Farocki and Chris Marker are the officially even cooler though
I think the best route after salo is accatone, the trilogy & gospel then move on to the rest starting with hawk & sparrows.
