will nike ever recover

"finally made us a thread to nike" means "nike is still waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of our US business but now we're trying to be competitive"

Nike will continue to snatch up the most lucrative deals and only until MJ decides to sever ties they'll be the bigger brand in America
socks aren't going to push the brand over the top

follow up: Adidas losing NBA is probably their hugest mistake since hiring Jeremy Scott

Looks like they won't be able to recover

what are they recovering from? hypebeasts take up like 1% of their business dude they're not that important
that redditer doesn't know shit about shoes if he was gleefully shopping at Foot Locker for rare drops. and Nike has their drop calendar down to a science they basically have a subscription service through their concierge hotline so that guys can get new AF1s and Jordans on a biweekly basis

Doubt it. Basketball is a sinking ship when it comes to fashion and adidas know this so nothing of value will be lost

more like: they couldn't afford the licensing deal
if NBA is a sinking ship then MLS is a bombed out city in Syria

> Yet even with adidas experiencing this explosive growth from January to May 2016, its sale numbers are still dwarfed by Nike’s, who hit an astounding $30 billion USD in revenue for the fiscal year of 2015.
thanks for the link

adidas know what they're doing. adidas is focusing on life style shoes and it will take time forpeople to drift away from jordans to nmds and the like. it isslowly happening though

>The Portland Business Journal recently reported that adidas’s first-quarter sales are up 31%, stock is performing at a rate of +31.54% YTD, while Nike sitw behind at -11.43%. Nasdaq has commended adidas’s long-term earnings-per-share growth which currently sits at 18.8%. The share growth essentially means that stock is growing fast and should continue to do so

adidas is on fire desu

I've been following the brand for a long time, man
this is their most successful period by far but they're not going to eclipse Nike any time soon
in all seriousness, just wait until the next NBA season starts and you'll see a very different opinion toward Nike on this board

let's say nike sales started at 100,000 in a particular timeframe and adidas sales started at 30.000, which is basically what it amounts to (since Nike has always had a gargantuan lead in the market on Adidas, Puma, Reebok, New Balance, and the other competitors.). adidas going up 30% brings it up to 40,000. and nike sales dropping to 89,000 isn't really that bad
it just looks good on paper

yeezy yeezy yeezy just jumped over jumpman

>very different opinion toward Nike on this board
People are not talking about Nike because they're not bringing anythinginteresting. They're not gonna recover

>The Jordan Brand commanded 58% market share of the $4.2 billion U.S. basketball shoe market last year, up from 54% in 2013. The Swoosh’s share jumps to 95.5% if you include Nike Basketball. The competition: Adidas (2.6% share), Under Armour UA -2.48% (1%) and Reebok (0.8%).
see there's proof you can sway opinion just with statistics
that quote makes it look like Jordan is the biggest company by far; but it only specifically refers to the "us basketball shoe market"

can we please fucking stop with these dumbass sneakerhead nike vs adidas threads

are you guys literally 12

holy shit no one cares

Haven't bought an Adidas sneaker since 1998.

Bought 3 the last couple of months alone (Radials, Dooms and NMD PK).

Make of it what you will.

you fell for jew marketing wizardry

Kek

>shoes are fashion
>comparing 2 brands in one of the most suddenly influxed aspects of fashion is 'dumb'
wew lad, it's like you can't afford some of these shoes, might wanna redirect that anger
ayy, those jewizards are pretty lit, I've been buying shoes at random but Adidas made me actually stick to them with Dooms. I've been liking the new shoes overall much better than what Nike has (save for the Gyakusou stuff, and even then it's only because I'm an absolute succer for Undercover), as well as being less frequently seen which always feels refreshing, rather than Roshes and every other Nike shoe that has practically been surgically attached to Asian fuccbois and fuccgirls.

>adidas stocks pass nike
>nike $87b market cap to adidas $25b
lmfao what kind of art school dropouts does highsnobiety hire as "writers"?

and to add on, what kind of highschool dropout hypebeasts actually cite that article as a source
fucking retards lmao

Adidas is a fucking shit

garbage shit made by third world brownies for third world brownies

their website is a fucking disgrace and the only reason they have any hype going right now is because they keep releasing hideous meme shoes

fuck adidas

>>comparing 2 brands in one of the most suddenly influxed aspects of fashion is 'dumb'
yeah it actually is

especially when you have to make a thread about it every other day

yeezy yeey jumped ofver jumpan!!! dope swag lmao!!!!

nobody cares what fucking brand of chinese slave shoes you prefer. go back to fucking ktt

mfw I bought NKE at $55/share

buy more shoes faggots

Nike is worse

Just wait 2-3 years max until the adidas meme is over because they flooded the market with hype shoes and now that they're everywhere the hypebeasts wont want them.

not even a nike shill but you cant deny adidas will never be close to nike profit wise. Like not even 1/5

What people keep forgetting is that nike and adidas are companies, they might enjoy making their stuff but in the end its all about money. What makes nike the most money? Athletic clothes/shoes. Do they poor all their time and energy into making the best sport prefoming tech to rake in the money. Whats currently making adidas money? Hype fashion. So likewise they poor theyre energy into that. All the collabs and hype stuff nike does now is just to keep fans happy, theyre do big they dont need HB $$$ Why dedicate a team of people to release a limited sneaker that won't yield much profit when you could tell them to make some drifit moisture shirts en mass and make a fortune?

Adidas meme will never die
