There are a bunch of fundamentalists, yes, though we can't say for sure they aren't just knowing.
What we know is that it is getting harder and harder to keep many threads free from them. In threads about Zoroaster they will start posting long posts about how Zoroaster really got his information from Jews and everyone dissagreeing do so because of "liberal schoolars", in threads about christian history they will start bitching about Martin Luther or the Reformation ((In ways that are directly unrelated to OP) and in threads about some pagan religoon or something they may start posting bible verses and claim said pagan gods are from Nimhrod or something.
