What do ancient historical writings say about the Flood?

What do ancient historical writings say about the Flood?

Explain.

Apparently we've existed for tens of thousands of years yet agriculture and civilizations started a bit after after the Flood...coincidence? I think not.

>b-b-b-b-but it's just a coincidence
>w-w-w-we just suddenly got civilized

...

>lalala I can't hear you

Before the flood, the world was very different.

All the legends and myths of Atlantis, Lemuria and a "Golden Age" talk about this antediluvian period.

>one giant landscape
No continents, the world consisted mostly of land. Waters were contained in lakes and seas.
>higher oxygen levels
This made for animals to grow much bigger, hence dinosaurs and giant insects. Man also used to live much longer.
>canopy of ice
Some argue there was a canopy covering the Earth.

Overall it was an exotic world.

The Flood changed it to the way it looks today, with oceans covering the vast majority of the world, oxygen levels having dropped more than 50%, and the earth being a shadow of its former self.

Apparently all animals stepped out from a boat 4000 years ago but all separated continents got their own completely separate fauna.

>b-b-b-b-but muh floating lava rocks

>all animals
The ancestors of the animals that exist today, yes.

>stepped out from a boat
Thanks to divine power, yes.

b-b-b-b-but no! i'm just a stupid intelligent shaved ape!

>This made for animals to grow much bigger, hence dinosaurs and giant insects. Man also used to live much longer.
Explain this.

Why do we so many human populations that didn't use agriculture till rather recently then?
Shouldn't the humans that got off the flood have kept their knowledge of agriculture to Northern America and Australia rather than forget it and have it spread from the middle east?

The dinosaurs were just reptiles buddy.

The term is derived from the Greek words δεινός (deinos, meaning "terrible", "potent", or "fearfully great") and σαῦρος (sauros, meaning "lizard" or "reptile")

Adoption of agriculture is a prolonged process what started around in 9-10th millennia BCE in the Middle East, after that it took centuries for agriculture to spread across the old world, while being reinvented independently in different places at the same time. Göbekli Tepe was constructed in 10th millennia BCE. There is nothing special about 6th millenia BCE in the history of agriculture and civilization.

Watch Kent Hovind's creation seminar, he explains it better in layman terms.

And then the marsupial just went and found their own continent?

Now explain why the small raptors also died out if the reasons the dinosaurs disappeared was they being to big for the thinner air.
Also explain why we still got Elephants and blue wales.

>BCE

*tips fedora*

elephants and whales are not lizards

Okie, explain to me how Crocodiles and Komodo dragon could survive if Raptors could not.

>Göbekli Tepe
The majority of the artwork depicts animals. Snakes are most common, but you can also find foxes, boars, asses, cranes, ducks, vultures, scorpions, spiders, bulls, and rams. A quick glance at the designs shows that these builders were skilled artists and masons.

The fox seems to have played a significant role in the lives of these people. At the center of two circular structures are twin pillars with foxes on them. In one impressive pillar, the fox is held under the right elbow of the human figure, who also appears to be wearing a fox skin. Nowhere else among Pre-Pottery Neolithic sites is the fox image given this much importance. No known ancient religion gives the fox such a significant role, and its role at Göbekli Tepe is still a matter of debate.

Few of the creatures depicted in the stone carvings are among the piles of bones found at the site. Instead, over 90% of the bones are of hoofed animals such as the wild ass. So it appears that the carved animals were not decorations about daily life but had symbolic significance.

In Enclosure C’s “pillar 27” is a four-legged reptile with impressive teeth. Schmidt calls it a predator and interprets it as a mythological creature that guarded the sanctuary or the people of Göbekli Tepe. But since all the other animals are real and lived on the Harran plain, perhaps this was a living creature as well. The fossil record includes many four-footed reptiles that had erect stances, broad heads, and predatory teeth, such as the Proterosuchia. These dinosaurs, which could grow up to 10 feet (3.5 m) in length, would have been among the animals saved on Noah’s Ark.

Perhaps the builders of Göbekli Tepe were familiar with these predators because they still lived in the area. If so, they would have been the chief predator of the Harran plain.

Also, considering that most of the world's oxygen comes from the Ocean rather than land, shouldn't the flood lead to thicker air?

Reminder that archeological evidence actually confirms biblical history.

Reminder that we are the only intelligent beings in this Universe and that we will never "colonize space" or find "aliens".

;^)

Reminder that UFOs are demonic spirits, hence all the horrific memory loss and abduction stories.

t. person who has seen UFOs and I can promise you that they don't move or look like "flying saucers", more like ghosts

They got pushed out of the main area of population as they were inferior survivors to placental mammals.

They hopped on huge floating forests of debris and floated with the ocean current to Straya.

Some dinosaurs made it, some went extinct.
