>What is techwear? Clothing designed to have specific functional properties incorporating new fabrics and technologies, but worn as everyday clothing.
Post your inspiration, relevant brands and individual garments, fit pics, Tumblr and Instagram pages, questions, and any discussions about the aesthetic.
Question: Does lunarcore go hand to hand with techwear. I don't really know much about lunarcore myself, but It looks like they'll go together pretty well.
Josiah Adams
lunarcore seems like a vintage techwear with a lighter color palette
Liam Gonzalez
They might be, I contributed some of it and have a copy that I think has a couple more on it, I'll sort something out in the next day or so
Jackson Carter
Probably speaking for a large part of the people that want to get into this aesthetic, but don't have the budget yet to cop some of the amazing brands like Acronym.
Then I found 0608 and the Won to USD conversion makes these affordable as heck! I heard one person was able to buy them outside of South Korea.
Just wondering, how they do it, and hows the quality?
Jaxon Reed
Just learned that Dressed down is going under. >Dressed Down will end imminently. Archive.org cached versions of each page as they existed as of July 14, 2016 are provided. At the top of each archived page, there is another Archive.org link reflecting the articles at publication - this is mentioned as several people have mentioned citing this website. If for some reason you need to reach out, [email protected] will be active for a short time.
Rest in peace
Jaxon Campbell
Not op, but I have a domain, if there is enough interested I will look into hosting a copy
Joseph Nelson
Man that sucks, really don't feel like going to archive.org. Just a clunky website The information will live on in the link above.
Angel Green
Would you consider adidas tiro pants to be tech enough? They have sweat wicking material, have plenty of pocket room, and have zips from the ankle to midcalf
I wear them a lot, I think theyre the best slim pants for the money.
Ethan Hall
Fair enough just wanted to offer having something that isn't as slow
Jack Sanchez
You know... I always felt like updating some things on Tuxbell. We should expand on the Techwear section. Good if you're entering the aesthetic. I never tried those, but I wore something similar in Uniqlo the Dry stretch sweatpants.
Aiden Clark
The branding is pretty minimal too, looks like a solid option user
Kevin Cruz
They're actually made for running and soccer so I think they'll do.
There are tons of colors for these. Most of them are a base color with white stripes but some are tonal and have "invisible" stripes like the picture if youre not into the slav look.
Andrew Lewis
Yeah, I'll be interested on working on the Veeky Forums wiki.
Juan Howard
Pretty sure you would need his permission to do so.
David Diaz
Acronym: J54-LP
Is having a low set a hair the best for the style? Most models I see posing for these techwear companies seem to all share this.
Jackson Cook
>You'll never have a warm, cozy, UV reflecting, breathable gf >Why even live
Charles Bennett
I think its an all or nothing thing. It seem like every model either has no hair or long/tied up hair.
Hudson Bennett
I guess it would make sense have little hair, or less hair in the way. If you think about the idea behind techwear. Being minimal and functional, having no hair would mean less to worry about when in motion.
Eli Gomez
Let's try something, posts musical artists that blend into techwear, futuristic, cyberpunk environment. I'll start:
>Gentlemen, I've called this meeting so that we can face the obvious truth. >Yuppies don't want to pay a lot of money for artificial fabrics like polyester anymore, calling it "microfibre" isn't fooling anyone. They've worked out how cheap it actually is to make it. >The current market trend is toward natural fibres rather than any of our products. >What can we do to make our wares attractive again?
"Sir, call it techwear."
Ayden Ross
You seem tense... Relax..
Gavin Gutierrez
hey is 4dimension still around? They havent released anything new in a while and they aint answering fb messages.
Yea, I'm tempted to order the asymmetrical jacket but... Facebook said they usually answer in a few hours, it's been a day or two.
Blake Morales
I tried making an account, and it seems it only accepts Korean addresses. Would love for that guy to tell us how he copped some. Heard you had to contact them to arrange something.
Benjamin Mitchell

Any recommend running/free running Adidas?
Evan Brown
i'll go with something completely different, much more futuristic and less retro flavoured stuff:
- oneohtrix point never - holly herndon - arca - aids 3d - HKE - rabit - etc. you'll find similar artists easily through their soundclouds.
Jackson Campbell
tubular, tubular doom. not sure how comfy they are though.
Colton Murphy
Do they sell the dooms in Black?
Hudson Hughes
Tubular are ugly af. Thought they looked nice but returned them instantly.
Dominic Green
I'm also interested, I do lost of parkour. And I usually wear my Vibram (The shoes that have each individual toe mold).
Jackson Davis
Any suggestions for an alternative to guerrilla group stability cargos?
Wtc a good pair of slim fitting pants I can bike around town in. Not a fan of shorts, leggings, or joggers and ripping holes in my jeans is getting old.
Christopher Robinson

at first i thought, it's the trap from Banshee
Josiah Sanchez
What the fuck is that thing?
Angel Barnes
...
Ethan Butler
Yeah, it was me.
I already mentioned in one of the previous threads that I got in touch with 0608's designer - master Choi - via instagram and he agreed to accept the payment for order via paypal, so everything was done outside the website. However, he mentioned that they definitely have plans to adopt the site for international customers in the near future.
I ordered just a few tank tops, a t-shirt, pants and a vest from the OP picture. The quality is there, definitely worth the money. The shipment was done via EMS, so it took only 7 days to receive it. Overall I'm very pleased with 0608's clothes. However, I bought only basics, so I can't say anything about the hardshells that they have in the "sail" section.
BTW would it be a nice idea to send the link to this thread to mr Choi? I see there are lots of people interested in theirs clothes. Don't know but maybe he would be willing to answer some questions?

I don't get the strap on some of their T-shirts. Would someone actually use this, I would get on a jacket because it's a much more thicker layer.
Aaron Lewis
Well, the pants are the only thing that I missed the size. And it was totally my bad. All the sizes were clearly there, on the site. So I sent them back for exchange. But anyway, they are comfy and very lightweight. I would say that they a perfect for summer. However, they are really stretchy, so I can't find the lower pockets to be very functional because of it. I would not put my phone in there, for example. Well yeah, after a day spent with this t-shirt, I'd say that the straps are pain in the ass. I guess, they are only there just for the looks. Every time I tried to put on a jacket, I was getting entangled with those damn straps.
BTW I'm waiting right now for a bomber by another cheap korean brand (fnty.net/). And the damn straps are also there. Pic related. I really don't get all that obsession with straps.
Grayson Green
Well the point of the straps is to have it hang off the wearers back or side when they want to take it off instead of putting it down or tying it around the waist. Things that could slow mobility. Which I don't understand why they would have that on a t-shirt because no really does that.
Also, did you link him to the thread?
Alexander Hall
any good techwear blogs or sites? supertechwear seems really dead and the waywt is horrible
William Price
Pretty good stuff, thanks
Jonathan Gomez
Do you know if Nigbtrunner will restock?
Christopher Watson
Don't know, user.
Leo Anderson
Yeah, I do understand the reasons, although I don't understand the ongoing obsession with straps. Kind of reminds me about jrpg's belts trend.
Nathan Brooks
Although it definitely looks neat, when it's done clean. BTW the t-shirts and tank tops from 0608 are really cool and comfy. I really loved the fabric.
Isaiah Thomas
That's like $1500 worth of clothing and backpacks to look like absolute shit
Jeremiah Garcia
lol jealous? the man is a BEAST
Benjamin Foster
Those yeezy boots are horrible though
Tyler Jackson
anyone have any Instagram links for cyberpunk/techwear DIY folks? looking for inspiration to do alteration/make my own stuff. i follow these right now:
Aphex Twin for SAW 85-92, Syro and the Analord series.
For the retro vibes: College, Com Truise.
Hudson Wright
>Com Truise. Based user
Grayson Phillips
>Com Truise I really dig the aesthetic. If you haven't already, check out Aphex Twin's latest release "Cheetah"
Connor Davis
thanks for sharing. edge i have seen in a few pics but didn't have the source, errolson i know of (lol). but really, i'm looking for specifically diy stuff like pic related by 1000deaths. techwear/cyber influences crafted into punk/bohemian pieces and whatnot
Jason Ramirez
a better example of what i mean by "techwear/cyber influences". doesn't have to be directly utilitarian
Julian Butler
Pureboost raw, tubular nova primeknit, tubular dooms, and adizero primeboost. Think thiis sub would look all black nmd primeknit
Joseph Hernandez
It's a great ep and I live the fact he got some kid off YouTube to make another terrifying music video
Cooper Stewart
W2c white/light colored techwear I'm interested in techwear but I want things that will match the rest of my closet.
Chase Richardson
Because ill never be able to cop NMDs
Aiden Allen
Those are better than ultras in terms of aesthetics. Don't understand why adidas hasn't pushed them a bit
Joshua King
Dude, those are awful
Jonathan Cooper
Haven't seen it. Name ?
Charles Ramirez
nvm i found it
Henry Brooks
anyone else?
Also is there any resellers for guerilla group that don't cost and arm and a leg.
John Perry
what do u mean? also guerrilla group is not even worth retail. really poorly made even compared to adidas or nike stuff
Jordan Ward
mostly this people that are 'into' lunarcore tend to imagine it as either a grungy, sometimes dystopian retrofuture think engineer on a space cargo freighter as imagined in 1979
Alexander Brooks
Really? That's disappointing. Their stuff looked awesome, but you just saved me like $300.
And yea 4D still seems dead, they haven't replied to my message. Going to try emailing them I guess.
Joseph Foster
Good, isn't it
Nathaniel Jackson
w2c that vest
Luke Hall
Yeah. It's funny because my dream is to become a filmmaker and for some time i've been making a video for "Cilonen" in my head. It might appear on his Vevo someday.
