I have a Herschel, and the zippers are really secure. Thinking of taking off the logo. It's actually really big (can fit my wallet, a bottle of water and a book) but doesn't look that huge, esp. when I wear it on my back. Eastpak makes a good one too thoguh.

I got mine at a cobbler supplier wholesale place for 15$. I think it's made of goatskin but feels like lamb. Quality is decent but for the price it's hard to beat. A good quality leather fanny pack will set you back around 50 to 80 bucks.
