American Apparel isn't remotely expensive for sweatshop-free.

You'd be surprised that H&M's conscious collection is pretty environmentally friendly.

For women, Reformation is good. In general, Patagonia is known for their transparent business model

>American Apparel
>Overpriced

You haven't been here long have you user?

>20-30 bucks for a t-shirt

You haven't been here long have you user?

>60 bucks for a hoodie

this is an anime based imageboard retard

maybe you can go to and make some clothes out of leafs

>this is an anime based imageboard retard

Hasn't been for at least 5 years now. No one likes your kind outside of /a/ :)

Why wouldn't you want sweatshop-made clothes?

I specifically buy clothes made by slave laborers in some 3rd world country.

Is there any way to find brands that specifically utilize slave labor?

Sweatshops are the only chance for those people to live decent lifes, sweatshops' working conditions are poor, but every other alternative is thousands of times worse, if you don't wanna let them work in sweatshops you're making them actual slaves on farms where working conditions are worse than in any sweatshop

what do you mean, it's allways been an anime image board

He's not wrong

>overpriced. Pic related.

You must be working off your parents money if you think American Apparel is over priced

this
what would you rather be doing, sitting comfortably inside a building sewing or working on fields digging potatos all day everyday, ending up with many health issues?

daily reminder that there is no ethical consumption under capitalism you neoliberal twat

There are people here who are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for an oversized, dress length white t-shirt, user.

it'd probably just be easier to buy clothes made in countries with agreeable labour laws but if you want to pay extra for 'ethical' branding whatever

Daily reminder that there is no such thing as unethical consumption and any trade between consenting parties is ethical

Bane?

It's over priced because it's sweatshop free.... I can't even...

daily reminder that the workers are still paid unfairly for their labor and the capitalist is an unnecessary third party who profits from doing jack shit

This is the only right answer.

No one forces the workers into the factory. It is their best opportunity. It sucks, but it's reality.

who would have thought

people on this board pay 400 dollars for plain white sneakers, dude

underrated post

If they accept the payment then they don't think it's unfair, and if they think it is but they don't care then why should you care?
Capitalist is not unnecessary third party, he takes all the risks, invests in the means of production, he pays his workers even if their work generated loss. There are cooperatives, which are the embodiment of socialism, workers' ownership of means of production, and yet none of them is as successful as companies run by these pesky capitalists

AA might be sweatshop free, but I feel like their ads are taken by sex traffickers.

mmmmmm thats some juicy ideology

they have a low environmental footprint tho
