They make them in Portugal now as I remember? So people seem to like to make a fuss over the fact they were made in Italy.

if anything Italy is known for leather footwear production, but it's not like that makes it a rule of thumb.
I'm part of no party in this issue, so I have no idea what the production site means in terms of quality.

I think Portugal are pretty good with leather also

made in portugal velcros are known to be having less quality control than the italy ones. the stitching looks rushed and messy. the leather is poorer quality, if you look at the portugal the leather looks shiney and looks like plastic. even the insignia looks off. the made in italy above superior to the below made in portugal.

Holy shit was it that bad? The bottom one looks like a chink knockoff. I have a pair of Portuguese black highs and they look nearly identical to the top.

According to Oki-Ni the 2016 ones are made in Italy, my 2015 pair is from Portugal.
