Was going for a cement look by mixing different colours of paint. Some parts it worked some didn't.

As you enter the room, the dark one is the wall on your right. Dead ahead is the largest wall, which is white like the rest of the walls and ceiling. To your left is the single large window.
I chose it because it's the smallest wall that's not broken up by window/furniture/doorway. Just the closet door which is a linen curtain, actually. This keeps it calm and not jarring to break up the color. Also, it receives a ton of light, so the very dark color is readable, as well as not overpowering in the small space.

Never understood the appeal for an apartment that still looks like its under construction

Haha kinda, Just really liked the way his home was put together and wanted something similar. Always lived in a fairly childish room.

I got it at a flea market, but it's a famous photograph by Steve Steigman. "Blown Away Guy". You can order a print and have it framed.

Also, I get most of my artwork at flea markets, auctions, etc. if I don't make it myself. You can build a really interesting, eclectic collection that way, and it's not too expensive.

Dot and Bo is a dope source for a lot of interior goods.

I got it with the green agent intellect vinyl. Maybe it looks small on my wall?
