actually interesting design but print on graphic t shirt companies are by the thousands and chances are, yours wont blow up

do some cut&sew and maybe do some stitching shit like that and make these designs pop, bro

Thanks man. I know the odds of making decent money are small, I thought I'd just have some fun with it until I find a new job I like.

Trying to do some good with it too. Organic fair trade shirts etc.

Cut & sew is something I want to move into. At the moment I have a background in graphic design but know little about clothing design. Need to do some serious learning or find an experienced partner.

You will never be able to compete on price so hit high on quality and the designs.

Also, do other stuff than tshirts. Attack what is weak in the market, not what is strong.

Yeah, good advice. I was thinking hoodies and pullovers with the winter coming.

You think the designs are too explicit to sell well? Not sure if people would be bold enough to wear them in public.

...

i'm my self am going to the process of getting my own label which is going great so far
already pitched a 500$ sales without yet printing the shirt tho i have only made 1 modal of the shirt
but i don't worry because luckily i'm connected to 1-C list celebrity like brothers in my country and 1-A list celebrity which is a teen superstar in my country
she already agreed to post my shirts on her 183k instagram for free, and i have few hipsters "friends" which are totally high on my ideas
the pitch of this whole Brand is to ideal to teens and young hipsters adult (whom are retarded leftist where i live)
so it's built from funny graphic tees with "hand written text"
to small over priced pins.

will post here after few months of this process
>pic semi related
just created it because i'm not on my work computer so i just did in in few minutes
but yeah
wish me luck

Cut and sew is pretty fucking expensive no brand just wakes up and decided to do cut and sew, most brands start off doing graphics and hats then move into it

Good luck dude, but I think you're going to struggle to enjoy the process if you're already disdainful of your target market.

Pizza is always good though.

nah i like my work, i just don't like the people
it's great because you take money from people you don't like

plus my older brother used to work big time in the party scene and he taught me a lot of handling the business so i feel pretty great for selling stuff for the same audience he used to also serve

Yeah man, that's the dream. Tough path to walk though with all the competition.

I don't like my graphic t's with words on them, because they come off as being childish

Nothing says childish like a big ol' booty in your face. But I hear you. Maybe I'll explore some more abstract or austere images in the next run.

Personally I dont find the graphics offensive. Except the inclusion of "porn" as it directly diverts the nudity from being artistic to raunchy.

It's cause everyone and their mom want to do it now.

What programs do you use for your designs? and how much does a run of shirts cost you?

Yeah. I originally had the lettering in white but decided to blend it with the background for the reason you mentioned - it looked too loud, which meant tryhard and edgy. I've worn one of these to bars etc. and never felt self-conscious. It does attract some looks, but not bad.

Mostly Photoshop. Been playing around in Illustrator too.

...

they won't. but it helps to have some on there because it makes your brand pop and have some edge, and people like being associated with this although they won't wear it themselves. (Raf penis sweater even is an example of this)

This is fucking garbage.

pretty okay desu
nothing that really peaks my interest though

Also doing colorful prints on white tees is pretty meh, b/w designs are always going to fit better on white

OK

I really dig the designs! Also those porn designs are quite effay and will make people remember the brand. Like the wifebeater Brad Pitt had in fight club.

Try doing patterned button downs, idk how that shit works, but I know hella people are into that shit

really enjoy this. will definetly buy smth if you do another design with a retro film poster vibe! keep it going man

>screenprints
so what exactly sets you apart from the 5000 other people doing this exact same thing

Id wear this one

I'd cop the Mars shirt, but I'm broke as fuck haha

Appreciate the love. If any of you want to cop, use the code 'effay' at checkout for 20% off.

Yeah, that's definitely the struggle. I'm hoping that the designs, the quality, and the fact they're organic, climate neutral, fair wear will help.

That's what I hear. I'm keen to move away from just tees. It feels a bit like 'my first teen business' with the all-tshirt line-up at the moment.

how much is the shipping to germany? Like I said, I'm broke, but my birthday is tomorrow, maybe I can get my family to order me a shirt!

You can't trust on things that you think will help
For something like this you need to actively build a brand and put thought to it.
People here might be positive and helpful but you are the one that has shit wagered, you have to be realistic about this.
Thinking your designs will carry you is just naive. That is not to say there is something wrong with them, but there is just so much more in to it.
For one I would change up the photos of the shirts (if these are the ones you will advertise and sell them with) they just scream stockphoto model with shopped in background. Think what kinda environment you want to show these on, what resonates with the idea of the brand, what it is that you want to communicate with the designs.
The group photo has more personality, I like it.

£7.99. You'd be my first international order - I might include a special gift to say thanks.

can't pay, ain't got no credit card.

Deeply appreciate the detailed, realistic feedback. Next shoot I do, I'll try and make sure it's on location in a place that fits with the aesthetic. That complicates things, but I see the value in it.

I have a lot of time and ideas pencilled out to slowly build the brand and the community. This will be unfolding over the Instagram in the coming weeks.

go to a strip club and get dancers to wear your shirts.

caspian bragg sounds really bad and pretentious and i probably wouldnt wear any clothing you made just because of the brands name

to be fair

Hmm, he can change it to just Caspian.

Also OP, you need way more hashtags, especially relevant ones.

Would it be possible to make some suggestions? New to IG.

Hey OP, a way to make your clothes a bit more popular is by paying (semi-)famous Instagram "models" to wear your shirt in a picture.

This is what most new brands do and how shit like Assc got popular.

Literally anything. Eg graphic white shirt (hashtag: shirt, white, street style, fashion, streetfashion, menswear, casual, graphic, fashiondesign, whatever the hell you can think of that relates).

It won't look as effay for a blog post but it doesn't matter cos no one gives a fuck about a wall of hashtags. Instagram has amazing advertising potential so milk the fuck out of it.

This and make sure to dump all those hashtags as a comment, not in the description of the pictures.
Otherwise it'll look horrible

Try contacting large retail stores and sending them samples of your shirts.
Urban Outfitters, H&M, etc.

Will do. Going to go exploring later and see if I can find some insta-famous people that have a style compatible with my gear.

Going to do this, thanks for the guidance. Didn't know that adding tags in the comments works the same as adding them in the description.

Yeah one of my medium term objectives is to find a distributor - preferably a higher-end one that's compatible with my price point.

>mfw this thread
Dayum, and i thought Veeky Forums was only a bunch of consumerist faggots, good job

Where do you sell your produce? Bigcartel or in person?

On my website (not Big Cartel) - www.caspianbragg.com

I love your designs, I really hope you know what you are doing tho since you quit your job.

Too bad I'm a poorfag that can't set aside 40 euros for a t-shirt, otherwise I'd be rocking it.

Hope you have the best of luck with your braind!

If you're serious about copping, email [email protected] - I'll hook a poorfag brother up with a special discount.

And thanks for the positive feedback regardless, means a lot.

THIS IS AN ASS

Yessir.

Organic might be nice but fair trade is sn unethical scheme to suck money out of snaller farmers

bullshit

Try and get a distributor in a local shop. If you live in a kind of cosmopolitan area there will be some record store or thrift shop that will sell.
