another big tip is for everybody in this thread is to stop idolising them, if you ever meet a model and you idolise them, you've already fucked it. they get attention from 99% of people they meet, you need to be the 1% to get their interest

yeah i study at university, your decision should depend on how successful your modeling is going, will it pick up? what is the course you're doing at uni, how hard is it? is it necessary you actually even have a degree? i got scouted during my first week of uni, if i was scouted before uni i wouldn't have gone to uni i'd have taken a year to see what the modeling was like, i'm lucky in that i do like 4 weeks of work a year and that pays me like around like 15k so covers my cost of living, but its fucking annoying as hell trying to fit it both in, and living the model life has totally changed my work ethic, turned me into a shit student, and i've had to turn down huge paying, high exposure jobs because my uni get anal about me taking time off

can't really give you an average, bare in mind i'm somewhat successful despite my uni sabotaging shit, a lot of models will make like £300 from fashion week, and will probably have to pay for their hotel, flights etc. I can tell you i got booked exclusive for a year (not allowed to model for another brand, but can still do e-commerce and editorials) got like £9k upfront, but ended up getting paid by them throughout the year for more work, whereas a female coworker got £45k where i got 9. but they get exploited like fucking crazy, and we get paid the same during showrooms, but i'll do like 5 hour days whereas they do 15 hour days

Another example; I got an option on me to do a photoshoot for Missoni in Paris on a monday, only on sunday evening i heard things didnt go through. So you never know where you stand in the business, you only done the job, when you done the job
