How about instead of talking about the "wearer", you actually talk about the shoe its self. I like the design because it doesn't feel like it belongs to certain period of time, not that it is a "timeless look", but, more so, like its a surreal confusion of periods, like a 90s retro-futuristic look, kind of. Also, it gives a "artificial/futuristic DYI" feeling, which is kinda what a lot of vetements feels like to me, it is a popular style (like the dad sneakers), that looks like it has been spliced and manipulated, bordering between a familiar and alien type look.
