Why is there so few photos of the fall of France in 1940?

because, believe it or not, they were happy to it. Just look at those socialists cry

It was an almost nonstop advance that was over in 6 weeks. If you've ever seen the photos by German soldiers during early Barbrossa its literally just roadside with the occasional destroyed tank.

>fall of France in 1940

"Fall of 1940"? If anything, National Socialist France was an exaltation.

>Just look at those socialists cry

You don't know what socialism is.

There's lots of pictures of French refugees from northern France walking away from the Germans.

k

The cameras in that era weren't so fast, user. It was over too quickly.

>"Fall of 1940"? If anything, National Socialist France was an exaltation.

Vichy wasn't even fascist let alone national socialist, it was just a generic presidential dictatorship which accepted a few racial laws their Germany masters demanded of them

There are plenty of photos of both the front and civilian life, what are you on about lad.

>You don't know what socialism is.
lol

It wasn't that bad. Lots of job opportunities opened up in Germany and a lot of money flowed in to France for Germany to rebuild.

Petains government was pretty good. De Gaull and allied propaganda after the war rewrote history though.

Because """""occupied""""" France was actually very peaceful and prosperous, unlike """""liberated""""" France. The elites don't want you to know about this, same as they don't want you to know Petain had the popular vote and Gaulle did not.

Just look at the pictures faggot

You could post those pictures here instead relly on other site.

Too many to post.

No, they actually weren't belive it or not

And yet you posted none.

for the liberation of france (a infinitely less significant event) you will find thousands of significant photos

whereas for the fall of france you find handfuls and mostly nothing interesting like the one you posted

thats a still, not a photo

that footage allways had a impact on me, dont know why, i mean i grew up during a war, people crying and bleeding isnt a new and shocking thing, but that guy... you can tell he didnt come out there with the intention to cry, by his age he must have been part of WW1, he must of seen some shit, he might have killed, he might have faced bullets and bayonets himself, and now theres the germans, on a fucking parade

now i dont know if you get this, but public crying isnt exactly a thing in most of europe, especialy not in the 1940is, especialy not for men, even today

theres a kind of strenght in that image

...

i dont realy know how to explain it

>must of

it was a generational thing, everyone was in it, people underestimate what a toll two consecutive world wars had on people

why do you think places like germany and britain are so screwed right now

He was just pointing out a writing mistake.

>Vichy wasn't even fascist
>just a generic dictatorship
>accepted a few racial laws
youre right, that almost not facist if you forget the other fascist policys the adopted

geez he must feel silly now

>and now theres the germans, on a fucking parade

That film is from Marseilles Harbor on the Mediterranean. He's watching French troops load the regimental colors to being taken to Africa.

You are complete moron without any clue about what you are posting.

Because the Jews have those images locked in their vaults

Why would Jews hide images depicting people lamenting National Socialist integration of France?

Fuck off, idiot.

maybe because not a lot of french would take a photo for remembering their country losing a war
or foreign journalists were mostly trying to get out of the country before nazis came
pretty sure nazis would taken these photos though

idk how people can defend Vichy France, a government accepting to have its country's assets being sucked off by a foreign power isn't a good governemnt in my book.

>stormfront
Top kek
Just kill yourself already

>You must post photos that are approved by me

>unironically posting stormfront

Well I think there are still more pictures of the 1940 debacle than of the German invasion of Poland.
V-day is just extremely popular and memorable since it was accompanied by a huge media fair.

THIS

t. cuck

Nobody said you're not allowed to post links to Stormfront, just don't get expect everyone to not think you're an idiot.

>everywhere on Veeky Forums it is approved custom to post images directly on board instead just linking to other places (especially disliked ones)
>stormfags demand special treatment because muh poor oppressed neo nazis
/pol/ are whiniers than tublrinas some times

wewlad

There are plenty of pictures, and this event gets brought up all the fucking time.

German troops crossing the Meuse river

German wounded

French dead

French soldiers with a puppy

Same a while later

French dead in a street

The few Brits who were too slow to run away at Dunkirk

Dead German

Damn

lel how embarrassing must it be for Germans to have a grandfather who died during such a piss-easy meme war as the Battle of France? I bet they pretend they died in Russia instead.

...

>piss-easy meme war
Nigga, there were over half a million casualties

Not him but I think the number is around 350k.

On both sides I mean, 350K is the casualties of the French

Alright

That war is a joke in Germany. They joke all the time about how useless and weak France is.

There's even an expression "Das Leben ist kein Frankreichfeldzug" ("life isn't like invading France", meaning life is hard).

In France it's called drôle de guerre or la débâcle, there's no question it was shameful.

Drole de guerre is only for the period during which we were drinking coffee and playing football while waiting for the Germans to be done in the east.
La Débacle is for the collause that followed.

I always wondered how the 30,000 krauts who died in the Battle of France would feel if they could feel anything

Pain.

Thats a french lmg

Looks British to me.

Are we just throwing the word meme into sentences at random now?

I meme don't know. That's meme what it looks meme like.

That's enough for me. I should really stop visiting photo threads.

i genuinely want you to list some examples. i do know the racial laws that were passed, but beside this, do you other ideas taht come to mind ?

From what I know, people throw the word "meme" into things they don't like. Like for a video game, let's say in fire emblem, instead of saying ">he uses myrmidons", they say, ">he uses memedons".

Funniest thing is we successfully invaded them so many time...yet we don't joke about it.
