Don't order just 50, the difference in cost between 50 and 100 is negligible, and shipping is expensive. Better bang for your buck.

My only worry is that I won't find enough people to sell 100 patches to. You think 100 is worth it?

I only did 50 of the first patch I made, and then promptly ordered 50 more. It's really about getting it seen by the right people, there are plenty of pay to post IG's with large followings who will be happy to bump your stuff for a nominal cost.

Do the Joyce portrait. It'll fly. Consider making it a woven patch.

$9 seems high. General cost is $7, but it all depends on your production costs. Here's how to calculate retail:

production cost + shipping / quantity produced x 4

for wholesale, do the same but multiply by 2

1 has an ugly colour pattern but thats just personal taste. 2 and 3 are the best. they come from that schizo maths site, right? 4 and 5 will make you the most money - more people recognise joyce's and proust's faces than have read them. if you want to pay them homage reference their works, not their likeness, fäm. 6 will make your entire website worthless.

here are some ideas. i dont know shit about how these come out as a patch though:
-I would prefer not to. (reference to melvilles Barteble the scrivener but popularised by zizek)

Using a thunderword would be extremely difficult unless I made a full back patch.
