I don't know what your budget is user, but the fugi patch is quite expensive (30$). So I would suggest to reserve it to a better garment than your backpack.
For an olive one, I would suggest black patches, because it suits more the pallet of your backpack.

If you're strictly wondering for one or the other, put the fugi one.

Yes, but it's still safer to sew them if your want them to be really solid. It'll last for a life time, maybe even more.

As long as you sew it, you can put a patch on pretty much anything, besides very thin fabrics like silk.
You can put patches everywhere on your coat and still be effay. In your situation though, it would look dumb. Remember to have a synergy between your patches.

Blue would look atrocious my friend, I would suggest darker tone: Black, olive, shadow orange, etc.

You can put patches almost anywhere, just put them on one of your coat or denim jacket. It can even work on a normal shirt.

Hey, i'm thinking about making a bunch of patches, do you guys have any ideas or suggestions? Also, do i make the linework really thick on them, and what about good sizes for a good resolution for text and stuff? First time making them, used to just make stickers and prints and stuff with my art

The suggestions part is more about the whole making it, i have the ideas and i have the illustrations, i just kinda need to know if i'll be fucked if i use the thin linework ones on small sized patches

Im pretty sure the whole point of ironing them on is so they dont move around when trying to stitch them on. The iron on shit will stick for a week or two if youre lucky.
