I'm from Moscow. Non meme russians dress like average europeans. But we have to be specific here. If we're talking poor people from provinces and people from poor social background in general they just wear anything that's cheap. Men usually wear noname chinese jeans and dark colored coats when it's cold and relatively ugly polo shirts when it's hot. Dressing too fancy considered gay by these people.

Women here are much more Veeky Forums oriented. I think that's the reason of that 'russian girls are super hot' meme. Because an average russian girl usually never(literally never) leaves the house without make up and pretty clothes. Even girls from poor places try to do at least something to look good.

If we're talking young generation especially in big cities everyone is really Veeky Forums oriented here more or less. Much more than average american for example. Hence there is this thing when russians come to usa and get really surprised because of how 'ugly' and simple americans dress. The main influence is western celebrities and western fashion like again usa and uk. Guys wear skinny jeans, different kinds of sneakers, sidecut haircuts. Scene-boyISH types are not rare too. Girls dress like western celebrity girls in general.

Th whole slav thing is on the rise, at least in my hometown in germany.
