I'll post a pic of mine when I get home, I've had them for around 4 years. All black with white stapled sole, short tongue version. Sole is totally yellow at this point and breaking down lol. Don't even really wear them very often any more because the inner lining is starting to give away and the sole is very worn down almost exposing the staples.

i think they look better worn out, and I'm not a fan of the classic black/white colorway that is bought by all the memers and fuccbois of the Internet

Yeah, high fashion staple, like actually limited to people who sought out alternative, high end design. Rick footwear met the mainstream thru celebrities and has since been getting culturally associated as a class signifier in a similar way to LV or Gucci - rather than something that used to be primarily consumed on a more personal level for the sake of genuine interest.

It's not that the actual thing has been ruined in and of itself, it's that it's been re-appropriated and unfortunately sends out a different message than originally intended.
